Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

When we're in Peter, we always eat in that dining room. Everything tastes good. A lot of choices. The dining room is clean and pricey. There's 1 minus that's one cubicle in the toilet and when there's a big influx you wait in line for a long time. Everything else is fine.

Cheap and good traditional tastes of Russia. You must definitely try the Sirniki they make. Coffee is average. I recommend the tea.

Our son recommended this Theme Café and must say, that during our 4-day visit to SPB this was the only place we visited twice. Those donuts and old style coffee really were as high quality, as their reputation! I understand that only Russian can truly feel the nostalgy of this place. But the rest of us can enjoy the delicious donuts and coffee, and for what price!! Our family of five had ten donuts and coffee, cocoa with less than 450 rbl! Will be back next time!

Came here to take a break for some Russian donuts (pyshki) and coffee. Was delicious! Interesting cosmonaut themed cafe with a good variety of foods and drinks. Next door to a gift shop with very unique hand made gifts. So stop by if you're in the area! Also helps to know that they're open until midnight for those that need a snack while staying out late.

Cheap food with good quality. Nice donats. Decorated with stuff about soviet time. Even the place's name related the date when Yury Gagarin went to the space for the first time. No wifi. No toilets. Pancakes were with very small filling. Coffee for 35 roubles coffee is very sweet. Overall impression of the place is good.

If you are looking for the Russian donut that calls St. Petersburg home, then 12 April is the best place to go. Although it doesn't hold the historic significance of the place around the corner, the fried donuts (пышки) don't get any better than here. Not only are they the best quality in town, but the service is great--the employees are actually friendly (rare for Russia) and there's a menu offering snacks, meals, freshly squeezed juices, and a number of other things (I recommend the чибуряк). The theme is great, too--April 12 is when Yuri Gagarin became the first man in space.
