Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Don't miss this experience. There were more locals than tourists which is a good sign.It is so busy but they serve them rather quickly. It is great if you can find a table to sit and enjoy the doughnuts with some tea but if you...cannot, then there are tables that you can just lean against. They are delicious and we had 6 each!! Yeah, we do walk a lot in St Petersburg!More

After reading so many good reviews about this place I decided to give it a try. And I wasn't disappointed! The donuts are simple but delicious... And incredibly cheap.. I went back every day of my vacations in SPB. I would definitely recommend it!

Oh, you have to do this when you are in the neighborhood. This place harks back to the 1950's and has this great proletarian feel to it. All it serves are doughnuts ("pishki") and hot drinks (coffee or cocoa). You queue up with your comrades...and when it is your turn you place your order (in Russian), slide to the left to pay and pick up your order on a tray, and then take your tray to a standing table from where you munch down your treats elbow to elbow with your fellow citizens. Order a 1/2 dozen to start!More

After reading so many good reviews about this place & being so close by, we decided to give it a try. The donuts were just ordinary & not anything special in taste nor was the coffee any good. It’s a place we’re locals go to...get a cheap cup of coffee & donuts. If you found my post to be helpful, please do give it a thumbs upMore

This is a soviet style cafe with coffee-from-bucket serving style similar to what they did many-many years ago. This is a kind of nostalgic experience you might want to have.

I hate donuts, but my wife insisted that we visit this place and omg,so happy that we did. It’s fluffy and light compared to traditional donuts. We have ordered, than ordered again and again,we couldn’t get enough.Unless you are a fat snob from America or UK, that is...used to big donuts filled with lame filling and toppings, you gonna love this place.More

Super yummy!!! So much worth waiting in line to get Russian style donuts - pyshkie!!!!!! They except cash only and from the beginning it seems that the line is too long but it moves fast and the pyshkie are very very cheap. For example, one...donut costs 15 Russian rubles which is $0.23 only!!!! If you’re in town don’t think twice, just try, it’s delicious. We bought 10 pieces for two and seemed we could have eaten more! Coffee with milk is also tasty.More

The donuts were super good, probably one of the best I’ve ever tasted. The texture of the donut is chewy. Old school feeling. Nice to have the donuts with a cup of coffee. (:

There was a queue when we arrived. It took about 15 minutes to get to the front. All so much more basic than I was expecting. Doughnuts and rough tea and not much else. Little seating area in relation to the amount of business. The...doughnuts? - those in New Orleans and in the Park in Tbilisi are way better. Heck, the ones at a typical english fairground or country show are better!More

The donut is tasty and cheap but the lady is rude and not friendly for foreigner. If you want to order you have to well prepare. No hot chocolate, no any other flavor. Only one kind of donut and please do not try to order...for any other thing.More
