After reading so many good reviews about this place I decided to give it a try. And I wasn't disappointed! The donuts are simple but delicious... And incredibly cheap.. I went back every day of my vacations in SPB. I would definitely recommend it!

Oh, you have to do this when you are in the neighborhood. This place harks back to the 1950's and has this great proletarian feel to it. All it serves are doughnuts ("pishki") and hot drinks (coffee or cocoa). You queue up with your comrades...and when it is your turn you place your order (in Russian), slide to the left to pay and pick up your order on a tray, and then take your tray to a standing table from where you munch down your treats elbow to elbow with your fellow citizens. Fried donuts that make me feel like a kid at grandma’s. Will be visiting every say of my stay. Did I mention the place is as chep as it gets?

we went here for breakfast and it was great! the lady behind the counter speaks nearly no english but they will know what you want. its super delicious and also very cheap!

After reading so many good reviews about this place & being so close by, we decided to give it a try. The donuts were just ordinary & not anything special in taste nor was the coffee any good. This is a soviet style cafe with coffee-from-bucket serving style similar to what they did many-many years ago. This is a kind of nostalgic experience you might want to have.
