We arrived after lunchtime so the resaturant was not full. The first starter spinache, nuts, garlic and cream, wow so nice. In fact what we eat was delicious but honest and simple. Nice and friendly staff.

Somewhat disappointing. Very quite for a Saturday night, ordered the Uzbek pillaf (reason I booked restaurant) told when all my parties main courses were being served that pillaf had run out this was 45 minutes after ordering. Offered stuffed vine leaves as an alternative which I politely declined. Why wait for other main courses to be served before advising me... More

Pricing is absolutely obnoxious. My friend and I bought a dish that costed 210 rubles each and asked for a bottle of water. They charged us 420 rubles for 0.5 litres of water. Would not recommend it to anyone.

Very kitsch decoration almost ridiculous. Techno music very loud and in a Kazakhstanrestaurant it s unbelievable and not possible. The waiter forced us to take a very expensive bottle of water. Dish not fabulous just eatable and expensive for Russia. Avoid this restaurant absolutely please.

We were highly disappointed after being at Karavan. We had heard so many good stories about the restaurant. We ate there last night. We were the only patrons in the restaurant from 8pm to 9.20 pm. Waitress Natalie that was serving only one set of customers was unfriendly and gave us poor service. The food was really bad and my... More

I ate here for lunch and got a nice meal. They have a good selection of stuff on the menu. I got some very nice lamb chops which were cooked on the big open grill. They also have great bread that they bake fresh. The seats by the windows have nice views of the river and Trinity Cathedral. The staff... More

We really enjoyed our meal at Caravan - good, fresh and interesting. The menu has a useful English translation but it doesn't feel too touristy. It represents the East / West thing that is so much a part of Russia - a foot in both camps, but not fully in either. I thought the interiors were a bit kitchy and... More

We went rather late around 11PM so the menu was limited as the restaurant had run out of many options. Staff didn't seem too enthusiastic to see our party of 18 people but when the food arrived it made up for everything . Had mutton soup followed by Pilaf and lots of different kebabs and grilled chicken accompanied by Ayran... More

We've been coming to Caravan for 9 years, it's become a little bit of a tradition. It's great Central Asian food, the Chibureki are very good as are the Manti and the grilled dishes. Prices are reasonable, the dekor and ambiance is very nice with loungey Middle Eastern/eastern music and what used to be a stuffed camel and a little... More

Pros: Food is excellent, Carnivore's paradise, great decor, there is a stuffed camel. Waiter was very good. Cons: Wine is expensive. Ate: Cheburek, Salmon salad, Dumplings, pickled tomatoes, borscht, lots of meat, mixed berry dessert, (and lots more, it's all good) My Russian friend took us here for Georgian food. It was delicious. Very quiet night and we sat in... More
