Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went to this restaurant because it was set up by someone else and we didn’t have a choice. I would consider this a typical hotel restaurant, although the food was better than expected. We got fried potatoes with mushrooms, cutlets, and kids had burgers....Portions were of decent size and prices reasonable considering the place. Service was nice. Given the choice, I would try out other local restaurants around, though.More

We had drinks and snacks every evening while we were staying at the Radisson Sonya. The prices were moderate, service was very basic. The Lunch menu selection was good with pastas, paninis and sandwiches. Portions were good size and food was tasty. A good place...for a quick bite if you want to eat at the hotel.More

The table was not clean, the service is poor, the menu is ok. The quality of food is disappointed. I ordered pelmeni and It was like the bad quality pelmeni from super market. Cheesecake, one of the worst I've ever eaten. The sea buckthorn tea...is the only thing that I liked.More

I didn't plan on eating here the first night, I had mapped out a restaurant I really wanted to try, but I walked around and around and couldn't find it (or anywhere really) so I decided to just have dinner at the hotel. Started with...a beer (or two) and the bartender that night was very friendly. He spoke pretty good english and we chatted quite a bit (maybe too much for his coworkers) but when I first got there it wasn't too busy. It picked up. I wanted something light and he recommended a russian salad. I wasn't sure I wanted THAT light haha, but he said it has chicken on it so it's more of a meal and I gave it a try. I found it to be absolutely delicious! It wasn't a salad like I was expecting (lettuce, tomato, etc), it was more like a potato salad kind of thing, plus the chicken pieces and bread. I loved it and exactly what I needed. The next day I was heading out late afternoon and ran into my friends at the bar who were also staying there and we ended up drinking and eating there all evening. Went to the restaurant side this night, but got the russian salad again. I did try some russian caviar (not for me, but not sure I'd like any caviar). My friend liked it a lot. My other friend loved the beet soup but I didn't try it. I drank the beer on tap most of the time, but I did have one vodka as did all my friends (well they had more than one) but it was extremely smooth vodka and I don't usually drink it plain. For a hotel bar/restaurant I would rate this top tier!More

I had a traditional borsht, a variety of smoked salmon and a beef stroganoff. Portions were largely sufficient and tasty. Service was correct. Better then an average hotel restaurant.

We went to dinner with low expectations, but were plesssntly surprised. The dumplings were actually the best we had eaten in St Petersburg. The rest of the meal was not amazing, but perfectly fine

The Menu is a bit limited but this is also a warranty on the freshness of the food prepared. I have tasted the meat, the famous bliniy and some faboulos mushroom soups. The service has always been polite, kind, precise, clean and professional. Is a...good choice for tasting nice food in st. Pete.More

Was there for coffee and wine only but experienced the absolutely unbeatable leadreship! The blond manager was shouting on her staff in presence of customers, humiliating them, running to the tables herself and creating a huge mess. The staff tried to do their best in...this situation but it was so frustrating they didn't know what to do. The staff was nice and polite - was clear they should do much better without the manager of that kind.More

Staying in the attached hotel so ate here the first night. Had the Siberia dumplings as an appetizer, followed by the Beef Stroganoff. Both were excellent! Even the bread roles were above average. Washed down by a nice Chilean red, was a top meal. Menus...in English and wait staff also spoke enough English to get by, which I appreciated. Couldn't fault my experience.More

Mostly russian cuisine with international twist, not 100% fusion, but close. Russians might be a little bored unless they are looking for russian dishes, but I definitely recommend this restaurant to foreigners. Dishes are of a very high quality - cooked perfectly, was really surprised...by toasted bread - one can hardly find a person who does this properly in Russia. Service is very calm, without any rush, but you won't wait long - waiters look after their guests and change of the course is almost unnoticeable.More

A nice visit and the blinis and red caviar were nice and really enjoyed the steak. Service was very swift and since I was staying at the hotel, I was able to have good (free) wifi in the restaurant.
