Favorite store and favorite view from the window in the cafe. If you come to St. Petersburg on business and don’t have any time to enjoy the city, or maybe you live here and haven’t been anywhere for a long time, just drink tea in Singer. That's all you need for happiness! The only wish for the managers is to add sugar-free desserts to the assortment for people on a diet (in our city we have the best dietary confectionery shop in Russia “is it possible? Is it necessary!”).

One of the most beautiful buildings in the city, built in the early 20th century in the Art Nouveau style. On the 2nd floor is the Singer cafe with a beautiful view of the Nevsky Prospekt and the Kazan Cathedral. Very cozy atmosphere, allowing you to relax with a cup of good coffee . Very busy. There is often a shortage of waiters and you have to wait a bit. But the cafe is atmospheric and the waiters of the cafe can easily communicate with guests in English. The disadvantage is that you have to go through the crowded bookstore to get there. I generally recommend.

We found this cafe while investigating the bookshop next door and were very impressed with the appearance, quality of food and the friendliness of staff. We were there for a late breakfast in January and it was easy to find a table. We ordered the oatmeal, eggs and the cottage cheese fritters, all of which were excellent. The hot chocolate was made with real chocolate and was very thick. If it hadn't been our last day in St Petersburg, we would have returned. The prices were average for Sydney or Moscow, maybe more expensive than for the St Petersburg average but not extreme.

We arrived at Singer’s house in the morning at 9:00 on the day we were already leaving! We couldn’t get into the cafe itself because we wanted to sit right by the window, which offers an atmospheric view of the Kazan Cathedral. And the free tables by the window were all occupied. (You need to book in advance) But we sat in the buffet where there was only coffee and desserts! And also the view from the window. There are a couple of tables there. Very tasty brewed coffee. And ummm...a fresh, soft, tender croissant, absolutely delicious - made my day! I recommend it to tourists! We took a photo. And in the house of books. We bought interesting souvenirs. You can find something for every taste and budget. Next time I will definitely pre-book a table. 🫶🏻👍

This is the most undeniably beautiful Art Nouveau building and very popular with the public. However I cursed each time I passed due to the number of gawping families stopping to look in the windows and the tacky figurines and the overfed wealthy people on show eating very sweet decorated cakes and drinking tea or champagne around a central sort of merry-go-round. Finally my wife persuaded me to partake. It is like something from the mad hatter's tea party, except that those at the tables (only a few cramped tables) behave like they are really something special, while the ordinary folk walk around them looking at the spectacle jealously. It is unaffordable to most. A treat for all concerned, perhaps, but not for me. I found it most sickening. Both parties looking like idiots performing an ugly class ritual. This, I suppose, is the result of years of deprivation under communist rule. "Let them eat cake!"

On the first floor of the Book Store in the old Singer Building (a must view of the exterior architecture - can't miss it, there is a globe on the top!). A medium size cafe with a range of food and drinks. Service was very good until we wanted to pay and leave....... staff seemed to disappear. Central on the Nevsky Prospect

A great place to drink coffee and enjoy dessert while admiring the majestic Kazan Cathedral. We really enjoyed. It was delicious and atmospheric. True, it’s a little expensive, but in places like this the prices are always like that) And so, everything is wonderful. The staff is polite and pleasant, we booked a table with a view of the cathedral without any problems, sat for as long as we needed, took beautiful photos and went on for a walk. I recommend everyone to visit here)

Disgusting staff work. The girl at the entrance stands there spilling drinks in the workplace. He doesn't look at the incoming room and then he beats the room that why he came in and should be in line. There's no line, half the tables are empty.

This is a great place to eat and have a break from sightseeing off the Nevsky Prospekt. Easy to find location. The staff speak English and are very kind, helpful and friendly. The food is excellent. The location is within 15 minutes of all the great sights in the city.

We hadn’t reserved a table but was fortunate enough to get a window table. Napoleon cake and strong coffee was great but my friend ordered the blinis with jam/cream and they were lovely. A great selection of herbal teas to choose.

Beautiful place. We enjoyed every moment spent here, delicious food, amazing views, top service and a nice atmosphere. It is not easy to get a free place, but when you succeed in it, the magic begins. All recommendations.

I stopped here after visiting the Saviour of the Spilled Blood Church, which was wonderful. I’m glad I did. My tea (raspberry and ginger) was great as we’re the cakes. Will return before I leave St Petersburg.
