The cheff of the restaurand is a real genious in preparing food ( not cooking). The dishes in starters and main course are well known but designed with a twist - a really new and powerful burst of taste. We tryed a lot of dishes...there and each of them were delish and tasty. The menu is great - you have a big variety to choose from. And the atmosphere and design inside the ancient XVI century palaty is unique. A must visit point to enjoy really great russian food.More
his was one of the most pleasant meals I've had in years.
I ordered marinated veal tongue appetizer, soignon salad, rabbit with mushroom risotto, and a berry cake as a dessert.
First of all, the veal tongue dish instantly refreshed my appetite. I would love...to taste that sauce again.
The vegetable in the salad were fresh, and the sauce made from nuts made good harmony with balsamic vinegar.
The rabbit meat was well grilled. Also, the cream sauce and the risotto with slight mushroom fragrance were had comforting taste. At the same time not to greasy.
It was a great choice to order berry cake after cream sauce main dish. Like the sauce of the appetizer, it again lightened my stomach. The cake is made in three layers. The chocolate bread at the bottom, cream with berries in the middle, biscuit-like bread on top. Put that 3 layers onto your tongue at the same time, enjoy the symphony they make.
This restaurant is highly recommendable even compared to those in Petersburg or Moscow.
In addition, the staff were kind and helpful.
This is the place to enjoy the trip after looking around Pskov. The prices are not low, but the food is definitely worth the money.
More
Last evening in Pskov reminded me and my colleague about vine thirst. And I decided to follow my instincts and to visit a place near the hotel Dvor Podznoeva. The vine card was wide and delicious. I picked the Cusumano Syrah and the choice was...excelent.More
We wanted to finish our week in Pskov on a high and this certainly fitted the bill. Beautiful exterior, stunning interior, and it just became better and better after that! Quality produce, authentic Russian dishes, local and imported wines and beers, and attentive staff all...made for a memorable evening. Thank you so much!More
We stopped at this place to have a lunch during the travel visit to Pskov. The restaurant positively impressed the "spoiled" family with an excellent set up in the old fasioned castel-looking building with sky rocking staircase. Even for the Russian view the menu looked...sophisticated, though rich in content and fency in shape. Every dish we had was nicely presented and consumed with great pleasure. Waiters were quite useful. The cherry on top were home made drinks on vodka presented in the bar in big glass jars. Good reason to come back, since we were driving that time!More
This complex is famous for its hotel and restaurant, but you can also order lots of delicious cakes and pies for take-away, fresh from the oven. You can also order something special for a certain date, and it will be relatively cheap.
