First of all, the veal tongue dish instantly refreshed my appetite. I would love...to taste that sauce again. The vegetable in the salad were fresh, and the sauce made from nuts made good harmony with balsamic vinegar. The rabbit meat was well grilled. Also, the cream sauce and the risotto with slight mushroom fragrance were had comforting taste. At the same time not to greasy. It was a great choice to order berry cake after cream sauce main dish. Like the sauce of the appetizer, it again lightened my stomach. The cake is made in three layers. The chocolate bread at the bottom, cream with berries in the middle, biscuit-like bread on top. This is an excellent place for Russian cuisine. As it was a beautiful day we sat outside and enjoyed the atmosphere of this ancient courtyard and great food and service.

We stopped at this place to have a lunch during the travel visit to Pskov. The restaurant positively impressed the "spoiled" family with an excellent set up in the old fasioned castel-looking building with sky rocking staircase. Even for the Russian view the menu looked...sophisticated, though rich in content and fency in shape. Every dish we had was nicely presented and consumed with great pleasure. Waiters were quite useful. The cherry on top were home made drinks on vodka presented in the bar in big glass jars. Good reason to come back, since we were driving that time!More
