The Metropol's main dining room was closed until dinner, so we settled outside under the buff canvas awning of the Savva Restaurant, the hotel’s café, at a table next to boxes of white and pink petunias. Bright early summer sunshine washed the boulevard beyond. While...More

We had an awesome time at Savva and not just because we were fans of Gentleman in Moscow and needed to eat at the Metropole. We had the Russian tasting menu which featured wonderful hot borscht with pork rilles, pike dumplings in Champaign sauce, beef...More

Can't beat the location, at the Metropol hotel. I went with a group of 8 and we all took the tasting menu. Starting from the caviar, everything is delicious, including the infused vodkas. Pricy but worth it.

Food quality and taste, AMAZING. good service. Pricy but worth it. We went for breakfast the first time. Their eggs with crabs were super tasty. Coffee price was unjustified. Then went back for late lunch. Had the set menu. Explosion of flavors. Highly recommended.

Stopped by and had cocktails on the summer terrace that has a view of the Bolshoi theatre as well as the Metropol Hotel (Setting for the book A Gentleman in Moscow/Amor Towles). Friendly, efficient wait staff. Interior more formal than the terrace.

At fuse because of the location I thought this would be a tourist trap, however I was pleasantly surprised! The oysters, soup, and bread was excellent. Great selection of wines and beer.

I expected that food would be great and it was so. But I did not quite expect a great service. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Our waitress was not only lovely but she could actually genially smile, a rare quality of locals. Most importantly, she...More

Chef Andrei Shmakov’s original cuisine restaurant is located on the 1st floor of the hotel "Metropol", in close proximity to the Kremlin and the Bolshoi Theatre. The style of SAVVA Restaurant depicts a respectable mix of history and modernity. Best samples of the "new Russian cuisine".
