We have eaten in top restaurants all over the world and as steak restaurants go this is right up there. Pricey yes but you get what you pay for so good value for money. Highly recommended
Superb ,thanks for the feedback!
Paid almost $50 for a 10 ounce steak. Ordered it rare, asked to please no overcook. They brought the steak on a platter that had a flame under it that was still cooking the steak. The steak was cooked medium with the edges being well...done. Talked to the waiter who gave a song and dance how aged beef cooks and that the steak was actually cooked to rare. Quickly realized that was wasting my time as they were unwilling to do anything to correct it. I ended up eating the terrible overcooked steak, the very center, about 2 bites that were cooked rare were very tasty.More

El Gaucho is one of the best places in Moscow for a good steak. Though not one of the cheapest it is worth every penny spent!
Emiel K,Thanks for your feedback!
Good food but after we said 10 times we want a chorizo(sausage) they brought us a steak chorizo that is of course 3 times more pricy than a normal chorizo... we were kind of angry. Seems like they did that on purpose, saying they don’t...speak English. Service okay.. price kind of high but acceptable. Kindness is not a Russian virtudeMore

This is not an Argentinian restaurant. The food was awful except for the french fries. The first problem is that they do not speak English or Spanish so when you ask they say anything that comes to mind. It was very expensive and the service...not very good. I do not recommend this restaurantMore
We went to this restaurant to try "Argentinean " steaks, which considered to be one of the best. At least that what we had during our Argentina's trip. But this restaurant offers mediocre quality meet for the price above the top quality steaks you may...find in other steakhouses in Moscow (like Bison, T bone or Voronezh and others). Thus I do not see any single reason to come back here, since you may find better meat at lower prices around the city. The only thing we liked is a quality of service.More
The meat comes to you over a small grilling plate so you could continue grilling your steak right on the table. When it comes to steaks, the grade of the meat is what makes it or breaks it, these guys are making it easy for...themselves and simply serving grade AAA+ meet (I made this grade up) :) but really a superb meat quality! The result: a brilliant steak, must try when in Moscow .. !More

El Gaucho was the first place in Moscow where I tryied Angus beef many years ago. At that time it was definatley the best meat in town. Today's visit was more a dissappointment. The atmosphere and service remained on very high level but the meat...was far from perfect. We had two different (quite expensive steaks) - chateaubrian and rib-eye and both of them were tasteless, strangely cooked and difficult to chew. They were not tasty comparing to other numerous steakhouses existing in Moscow. I would recommend to go to other steak houses where meat is usually cheper and far more tastier.More

I love this place! Moscow isn't the food capital of the world but this restaurant is definitely not too bad. While meat is not imported from Argentina anymore and now it's all Russian, most steaks are still very good. Wine selection is small but smart...and prices are reasonable by Moscow standard. Deserts are to die for, I'm a big fun of their Siruvela desert. There are three El Gaucho restaurants in Moscow and this one, in my opinion, is the best one.More

We had a business lunch for a company of 24 people. All was in a very bad level...service (very slow and no attention to requests), cooking (no one was happy with steakes). Don't recommend this place.
We went there as a big group and things went wrong from the start. First, they sat us at a table that could barely fit 3/4 of the group. We were subsequently moved but we had to carry the wine that was poured by then...ourselves down a flight of stairs. The starters weren't bad, but nothing special. When we ordered steaks, they took an HOUR to arrive. I ordered mine "medium", as did many others. But when they came, they were dripping with blood! That is NOT medium which my colleague told the waiter who then condescendingly proceeded to mansplain to her that that was what medium rare actually was. NO. Some people ordered cocktails which took 40 minutes to arrive, and the servers weren't apologetic in the slightest - quite patronising actually. I was sick when I got home. Not recommended.More
Had one of the best steaks we have had in a while. Served on a hot plate so as you can get it just the way you want it. Decent range of steaks and sides and in comparison with other Moscow steak restaurants its on...the cheaper side. Good range of wines and spirits too. Plenty of space around the tables and good service with an iPad giving menu in English a very welcome aid ! Well worth a visitMore
Only el churasko. Only pavelskaya. Not sheap. Expensive wine. But the best ribeyesteak of Moscow....
