We had a platter with meats, cheeses and other things to begin with and then i had the ghoulash. The food was excellent and the environment was very nice too. The service was also perfectly fine. I'll certainly go back here and recommend it.

We returned to Roata a year after our first visit and it did not disappoint. Excellent food, plenty of vegetarian options if you mix side dishes and try the cheese polenta but make sure you ask for it without bacon. The sharing plates are also a good option . For meat eaters the options are numerous, some healthier than others... More

A charming and cozy place, based in a renewed old building in the city of Cluj Napoca. I've been there in a sunny day, enjoying the seats in the garden. The menù is mainly composed of local food and dish, well prepared and nicely presented. A good unfiltered beer was a surprise in the menù. Service is unformal (young girls)... More

As a guest in Romania, we asked the local people to recommend some good traditional restaurants. The meal was really good, we got welcome drink from the house, the weitress... More

The waitress was very rude to us, she rolled her eyes when we asked something about the menu. The menu font must to change it's unreadable, in English and in Romanian. The Mititei was dry, it took a long time for the dishes to come out to the table. we were disappointed from this restaurant.

As a Romanian native living abroad, I wanted to try Romanian traditional food because I missed it so much, after not being home for 7 years. I chose this place according to its rank on Tripadvisor and don't regret it a bit! We were greeted by the manager and graciously taken to our chosen table. After that, we were offered... More

Roata offers delicious traditional Romanian food in a lovely country style decorated house in a quiet area. It's easy to find, located in the city centre. Must try when in Cluj!

Very good romanian food, very good service. Very important - open on Sundays, many restaurants in Cluj are closed then.
