I have eaten at various Banana Leaf restaurants over the years and generally enjoyed my meals there, the menu is appetising with some interesting dishes and the price is reasonable. Today at lunchtime however, I was at the Greenbelt branch and ordered a Roti Canai, rice, one bottle of water and the Green chicken curry. Unfortunately they latter cakes with... More

Nevertheless, the presentation or appearance of the food are not ordinary. One dish that should never... More

I used to love Banana Leaf Restaurant for its delicious Asian food but now it deteriorated in quality of the food and service. The last time I went, the noodle dish that I ordered contained only noodles and vegetables. No meat and seafood that were clearly indicated in the menu description and photos. Obviously, the cook scrimped on meat and... More

I had a dinner that would go down as a memorable one but for the wrong reason. Had to wait for over 25 minutes to get a table and we were told we couldn't order in advance until we were sure of getting a table. The good we ordere was quite good and tasty but the service was something else.... More

It's tough to find 'proper' Malaysian dishes in Manila, and Banana Leaf is one of the very few that somewhat gets the fact that Malaysian food has a distinct flavour and needs specific ingredients.
