There are two key aspects on this restaurant besides the location: 1) Excellent people 2) Excellent food. You will be near the beach, is a simple place, clean, minimalist, beach styled and smiling people attending you. They are very attentive to families as well and...they moved faster to deliver the food of the little ones. We loved the way they cared.More

We had lunch a few times at this restaurant and I was really happy with the food and service. My husband however, felt that his chicken breast was undercooked one time and another he was served fish instead of the chicken he ordered. I gues...one needs to be more patient with the non-English-speaking staff... and more tolerant while on vacation, on a faraway island...More

Great location right on the beach by the ferry dock. The fried whole fish was delicious but the side of plantains was bland but then again I am not crazy about plantains. My friend had the garlic sauce shrimp with rice and it was very...good too! Service was good and prices not too expensive for the small island location! Beers were cold and the local can beer was $2.00... great place to relax and get out of the sun for a great meal before taking the ferry back to Panama City!More

The restaurant is almost right on the beach. A very beautiful place. Very friendly staff, especially the waitress Estrella, who also speaks English. The food is tasty but the portions are small. There is a good refreshing lemonade. We recommend this restaurant.

Just had a really nice burger and fries here, having left a previous restaurant that was under standard and left me with little time before my bot. Service was quick and super friendly (they told me when I’d had flaked paint from the previous place...all over me), the food was good and team are great - thank you for a nice meal!More

Food is basic, fresh local fare, excellent service, and hit the spot. This is not the place to go if you want high class service for alcoholic beverages.

Gourmet food? Not at all. Really tasty, well made beach fare from a well run kitchen? Y-E-S and more! Fish is fresh and well prepared...sides as well. Cold beer, beachfront dining, decent service and a great owner...need I say more? I sound like a relative....I'm...actually a competitor. Estrella and the crew from Playa Honda are doing a really good job. Kudos!More

This restaurant was steps away from our hotel and served the best meals we ate during our stay. The portions were incredible, the presentation was excellent, and the cost was minimal. We did not visit the bar adjacent to the restaurant, however, the drinks we...ordered were tasty. A MUST PLACE TO EAT on Taboga Island!More

The Playa Honda is very well located and serves food which is mostly american like. Considering the location, variety of beer and wine is ok. No problem if you're downed dressed. Most of clients go for a snak while on the beach. Prices are competitive.

Stopped here through the week and only 2 restaurants were open. This was recommended by my tour guide. Good food and drinks. The service was a bit slow but otherwise pretty good.
