We had the most amazing lobster and sea bass lunch here. The owner Luze and her husband were so warm welcoming and accomodating. We did not want to leave. Her food was cooked with love and it showed!!!! If we are ever in Panama again this is where we will be eating!!

This little hideaway, across the road from the hotel is well worth a visit. The host is very welcoming, flipping between languages with ease. He brought out the various size entries and explained each selection without trying to up-sell or pressurize anyone. This couple has the fresh seafood experience down to an art. Our shrimp and lobster were cooked to... More

My husband and I stumbled upon this quaint little spot on our way back from the supermarket. We were greeted with such a welcoming manner by the owners, Jorge and Luce. Absolutely lovely people. While Luce was busy prepping in the kitchen, Jorge took the time to discuss local attractions, their menu and the history of La Fogata. He spoke... More

A quaint little local restaurant owned by an expat and his wife-who is the cook. Sit outside. I had a local dish and my date had a steak. Both very good. Good service.

While on vacation in Play Blanca we decided to leave the resort because of the monotonous food and try something on our own. We grabbed a local taxi and headed out to La Fogata, it's a small restaurant with a tropical decor that seats about 30 people. The owner is courteous and so friendly, his wife is the chef. We... We stopped by here given the great reviews. We arrived right when the restaurant opened. The setting was beautiful, reminiscent of Playa del Carmen's quaint little restaurant. The food was good.

Charming and incredibly great food and dining experience. There isn't a lot of dining choices in this area but this one is a must. The seafood is to die for! The service is 5 star. Great couple that runs the restaurant. Recommend getting reservations.

My sister and I had the pleasure of dining at la fagota whilst staying at a nearby all inclusive resort. Food was great and the owner so polite and personable. Great to get out of the resort which can feel suffocating at best! Loved the ambience, felt like real Panama but enough of an international twist we felt comfortable (the... More

The food here is very good and it's a very short walk from the Decameron. If' you are looking for some fresh shellfish, or octopus then this is a great alternative to the all-inclusive meal that you have already paid for. The husband and wife that own the place run it. He serves and she cooks. They've been there for... More
