This was far and away my favorite meal in Boquete during our stay. I have two regrets. My first regret is that I filled up on the amazing guacamole and chips before my tacos came -- the guacamole was incredibly delicious. We had a delightful conversation while we ate with Alex, the owner. I ordered 3 different tacos - one potato and spinach, one mushroom, one fish. My second regret (a direct result of my first regret of over indulging before my tacos came) is that I didn't sample all three tacos. I started with the potato and spinach and it was so amazing I ate the whole thing. It was spiced to perfection, rich and complex. That left me too full to eat more than a bite of each of the others. I am so sad especially that I was too full to enjoy the fish taco. I usually am not a fan of fried fish for my tacos, but the panko breading on these was light and crispy, but I could still enjoy the fish, which was well cooked. Not to mention, these are HUGE. I dream of going back, ordering the fish tacos, and fully tucking in to the experience. Oddly, as completely stuffed as I was, I managed to fully partake in the incredible, warm, gooey dessert that was sent to our table. I'm sorry, I don't know what it was called, but it was insane. Highest rating from our family for the whole experience.

Fish Tacos are HUMONGOUS!

OMG, the fish tacos were HUGE! I could only eat one and a half. Each taco had a fish fillet about 10 inches long. It got really busy while we were there, and there was one waitress and one cook, so everything was pretty slow until more help showed up as we were finishing.

Best Damn Tacos in Boquete, Panama

They really are the " Best Damn Tacos". Three large filed tacos of fresh ingredients, special sauces that keep you coming back for more. You cannot beat the price at under $10.00 US dollars. The atmosphere is fun and employees are very friendly . The owner and head chef greats you with a smile and makes sure you are happy with your food.

Great spot!!! Our whole family stopped by for dinner. The tacos were much bigger than we expected and we had to take some to go. Definitely get the Abismo Negro (shrimp taco). Alex is a great host and very accommodating. My brother asked for a spicier hot sauce and he whipped him up a batch on the spot that made him sweat. Be sure to stop by Segundo frente if you are looking to catch a soccer game while in Boquette.

The restaurant name is aptly chosen

They not know, whether they want to be a restaurant or a taco stand: You order at the counter, bur when you pay they add VAT to the price (which is mentioned nowhere and absolutely not usual in Panama for steetfood) When we were seated, a waiter came to our table and asked, whether we wanted to drink something. We asked for a glass of tap water (which you normally get in every restaurant in Panama at no additional cost). He refused, and asked us to pay for bottled water. 5minutes later a woman at a table next to us was served a glass ot tap water... With regards to food: Tacos are tasty, but three of them (the only serving size available) is a lot for one person.

Authentic Mexican tacos in Bouquete!

We stopped in after hiking the lost waterfalls and were pleasantly surprised to be waited on by the owner, a very professional chef running 2 operations simultaneously. The fish tacos were superb! Unique and authentic homemade salsas were brought to the table and the portions are generous! Right next door is Tex Mex to compliment the offerings.

When you are a celiac patient like me, eating out is always a challenge and a health risk. I explained my issue to the kind owner (when in Spanish speaking countries I usually say No Trigo = no what) and he dealt with it very professionally. He proposed some menu options and when preparing my tacos he made sure he kept my food away from any possible contamination. I had no stomach problems afterwards and moreover: his tacos are DELICIOUS! Very filling too. I am a big eater and I couldn’t eat all. I highly recommend Tacos Rudos to everyone who like Mexican food, especially those who can’t eat gluten.

Good place to eat well and without high expectations Apparently we had a negative impression: there is no bathroom and many of the dishes on the menu were not available. However, once you taste the tacos, you understand why this tacheria is considered among the best in Boquete. Prices are in line with local prices.

Best Tacos ever!

After having waited a little while for our food we got treated with the most amazing tacos we’ve ever had. Great flavors and different types made sure that there was something for everyone. The vegetarian options were great and the beer was cold. What else could one wish for. If you’re in Boquete make sure you give this place a try, it’s absolutely worth it

Amazing find in Boquete

Some of the best tacos we have ever had. The guacamole is amazing. We ate there twice in the week we were there and had to force ourselves not to go more, so we could sample other places in the area. We are thinking of moving there and could see this being our favorite hangout.

Wow! Best tacos around!

We had heard a lot of great reviews about Taco Rudos and had to go try it ourselves. It did not disappoint! They have a variety of tacos and the portions are very generous. They had tacos with skirt steak, fish, pork, shrimp, and more with delicious homemade sauces you could put on them. They had some tables outside under roof to sit on and Alex the owner could not have been more gracious and accommodating! They do offer a beer and soda to drink. They even allowed us to mix and match tacos so we could try some different ones and we still had leftovers to enjoy later! Do not hesitate to go to Taco Rudos…we are definitely going back!

Great fish tacos - best in town. Lightly battered with Planko breadcrumbs. Cooked to perfection. FRESHLY MADE guacamole and chips (still hot from the fryer). Say hi to owner Alejandro. He's a great personality to chat up.

Best tacos in Boquete

Alejandro has a little food truck and makes the best tacos in town. Very large portions and absolutely great flavors. We were there before 12 noon and he said that he didn't open until 4pm but would be happy to cook for us anyway.

Don't miss these super tasty tacos! We got the pork and skirt steak, everything was delicious. Not only were all the ingredients fresh, prepared and cooked perfectly, it's obvious that all the elements that make up these tacos are made with passion and respect for proper food and done right. Add great value for money, a friendly chat with the owner and you can't go wrong. Tastiest food of our Panama trip so far. Thank you!
