I had heard about the three force lunches for under $10 and they did not disappoint. I had a small interesting chayote salad, there was a choice of two entrées for lunch (meat and vegan), and a dessert. The food was beautifully prepared and presented in creative way. It was also tasty and healthy. We offer fruit juices and a variety of beverages including sangria. Portions were smaller, which I don’t mind because we don’t need monster size plates of food! In any event I can’t wait to take my husband with me next time and try some more of their delicious offerings!

First of all start with ambiance, lovely, at the edge of the gardens of Isla Verde, with the sounds of the flowing river. Secondly, friendly and efficient service. Third, and most importantly, the food….. We started with the complementary smoky eggplant purée served with a lovely assortment of dipping chips, which we followed with their fabulous fish ceviche appetizer, which was perfectly citrus & light. I had a glass of the house vino rojo, which turned out to be a very tasty Chilean merlot, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed a fresh squeezed lemonade. For dinner my grilled tuna in lemongrass accompanied with a fresh house salad, and patacones was perfect. My husband had the “whitefish” which this time was filet of red snapper with root vegetables and house salad, which was again perfectly cooked & presented.
Will we be back, certainly! So glad we found this newer addition to Boquete’s restaurants.

A most amazing dining experience for me and my friends was this past Mother's Day at the Ngadri Restaurant. My lady friends and I, decided to treat ourselves to a nice Mother's Day meal. Well, we never realized we would experience one of the most delightfully artistic and delicious meals we'd ever had. There is no question Chef Alexander is an artist in his skills. This was not A meal but a five course event, with each course being presented spectacularly. The occasion was strictly reservation, which meant the restaurant was only open to those who had requested a time and table. This allowed for delightful presentations and service, which we all experienced gastronomically and visually. We had eaten there before, and always enjoyed everything but
this one time occasion was spectacular and will never be forgotten. Thank you Chef Alexander.

When I visited Ngädri for the first time I was amazed for the great flavors of each dish.
Chef Alexander, the owner, is always taking care of every detail to make sure everyone receive the same quality service and enjoy the food.
Highly recommend... always fresh ingredients and vegan options.

Everything about this experience will please you. The patio is surrounded by banana and mango trees with the pleasant sound of water rushing along in the nearby stream. The staff radiates kindness. We have been here twice now and every food dish has been wonderful - from sight to aroma to taste. Nearly everything on the menu is suitable for vegetarians, which gives us so many choices to keep coming back and trying something new. The prices are totally reasonable. And the serving sizes on some of the options, (The White Fish Escabeche and the Mono Chiricano) are very generous. Miss Charlotte is still raving about the White Fish. You won't find this restaurant cruising down the main street of Boquete because it is a couple blocks back further from the river, making it a truly hidden gem.

I went to Ngädri two evenings in a row by myself - not only was the food amazing and unique in its flavors also the whole staff made me feel very welcome and were never weird about me eating there alone - quite the opposite, they made me feel warm.
It is one of the restaurants in Boquete with the most vegetarian and even vegan options and they change their menu every four months. The concept of farm to table works really well and I love that they only offer the meals that they can actually source at the time of your visit.
10/10 for me and a must when in Boquete.

My husband and I stumbled into this place while walking back to our rental condo. We asked to see a menu for another day because we had already eaten and realized we were speaking with the owner. He not only let us see & take pictures of the menu but gave us a tour of the restaurant and told us how he comes up with his dishes, about his farm to table and seasonal menu. We came back several days later to try it out and it was amazing! The owner welcomed us and was so happy to see we had come to try it out. We had the Carimanola (Yuca stuffed with artisan smoked vegan cheese in a Panamanion creole sauce) it was so good and different. We then shared Tacos del huerto (a Green plantain 'taco' with a chircano bean falafel and topped with pickled onions) this dish was just amazing and something so creative and unusual. There are many vegan and vegetation options here and while we are meat eaters we were more than happy with our vegan selections. Prices here are reasonable with starters ranging from $7 to $12 and main courses running from $10 to $20. We will certainly return before we head back out of the area and next time try the main courses.

This place is a gem and so far, the best restaurant I’ve gone to: not only in Boquete but in the whole country. Since we arrived, our waiter David, gave us a wonderful attention. We sat in the terrace where you could hear a river, there were platain, lemon and mango trees- it was very cozy and relaxing. To our suprise, the chef: Alexander came to our table to take the order and explained every detail of the restaurant: from the meaning of the name and the logo up to the dishes. To begin, the restaurant offered us veggie chips: platain, otoe and sweet potatoe with a dip of pixbae and smoked eggplant: a blast of beautiful flavors. As entree we had carimañolas with vegan cheese and platain tacos with bean fallafel- both were amazing. Our main dishes were arroz con pollo (best one I’ve had so far! It was moist, really fresh and very flavorful) and a veggie tamal de olla out of this world. The chef recommended a chocolate fondant with vainilla ice cream and berry marmalade for dessert and it was delicious. I was amazed of the quality of food and the very good prices they had. Everything was incredible and I will defintely come back to try the rest of the dishes! Not even a single negative aspect in this place! It also offers very good vegan options.

My wife and I had dinner at Ngadri. We had a reservation and were seated right away. The service was top notch the whole time we were there.
Our food was excellent. It started with free chips and salsa with delicious twists. The chips were plátano (plantain), otoe (taro), and camote (sweet potato), and the salsas were berenjena ahumada (smoked eggplant) and pifa (fruit of the peach palm). The eggplant was really smoky and the fruit was sour. When eaten together the smokiness and sourness faded, and the resulting flavors were marvelous.
For mains we had Arroz con Pollo and Mono Chiricano. The Arroz con Pollo was the best we've had in Panama, and the Mono Chiricano was truly unique. While this restaurant is a favorite among local vegetarians and vegans, it has plenty to offer us omnivores, including several different steaks. They serve a number of specialty cocktails and have an excellent selection of wine.
For dessert we shared Chocolate Fondant; this lava cake with vanilla ice cream was a fantastic way to end a wonderful meal.

This restaurant was recommended by my guide, and far exceeded expectations. Traditional authentic local fare, super fresh and seasonal, it was all utterly delicious - and the staff were lovely. I had the tamale as a main - best vegetarian meal I’ve had and only $8. A delightful find 😋

Ngadri is very close to where I am staying, and so I thought I would give it a try. Currently in Panama there are some protests that have effected everyone in some way, so things are not "normal" in Boquete right now.
There was only one other table in this cute, inviting restaurant. My host had recommended their pumpkin soup, which they DID have on this evening, and it was so smooth, and sweet and just perfect. I was also brought smoked eggplant puree and pifa puree, with plantain chips. Both were so yummy. (Pifa, is a local fruit from the peach palm tree... thank you Google).
My entree was seared tuna. It is currently tuna season, so fresh tuna is all around. It was served with local salad, and crispy friend plantain. My entire meal was very enjoyable and I will visit there again before I leave.
The 2 waitstaff were very attentive and helpful to any questions I had. I also got flan to take home with me and enjoy at a later time. You will not go wrong visiting Ngadri, an nice, up scale, Panimanian restaurant in Boquete.

Sara Borrero, the Restaurant Manager and Chef at Finca Lerida (a must stop for lunch or dinner in Boquete) recommended this restaurant to us. We chose to go here for my birthday diner and we were not disappointed.
I started with the Crema de Zapallo and my wife had the Tartar de Atun. Normally a pumpkin soup is gritty and a thick wholesome soup. The Crema was smooth, tasted a condensed pumpkin and deliciously flavored. My wife loved her Tuna Tartar so much she would not share.
My main was the Guachito de Marisco while my wife had Pescado Ahumado. Normally a Bouillabaisse, Cioppino or Cazuela de Mariscos or even a Paella from Europe includes a lot of shellfish still in the shell. The diner spends a lot of time getting messy by removing the shells from a spicey broth and scooping out the meat. My meal came with one medium scallop in the shell gracefully placed on top of the dish and it was not pressed down into the guachito. It was a beautiful presentation and very easily removed without any mess. Much appreciated, both for the visual and the simplicity of it. My guachito was served pipping hot from the kitchen and unlike most Panamanian cooking this had some spice to it. It was also served with a jar of a homemade habanero sauce, which I used a generous demitasse spoonful of. It provided a delicious kick to an already wonderful tasting seafood stew. It was fantastic.
My wife has had an issue with being served a whole fish in the past. She is from cattle country in Canada and enjoys her salmon or stream fish as a single, deboned fillet on her plate. She hates the eyes looking at her. This night she ordered the smoked fish which was served whole in a banana leaf with coconut rice. She was not worried about the fish staring back at her, she just ate half and then removed the skeleton to a side plate. It was delicately smoked, befitting the delicate white meat of the fish. The coconut rice had toasted shaved coconut in it was kicked up the taste. She thoroughly enjoyed her meal too.
We enjoyed a California Chardonnay with our meal and then two Americanos with our desserts.
We had a wonderful dinner and the food was superb. We will go back.
We are spoiled for options living in Boquete with at least 20 top end restaurants in the area. This is right among the best of them. Especially while the strikes are going on, get out and support these wonderful establishments. There were 2 other tables busy when we arrived, but they quickly cleared out and we had the whole place to ourselves, at 7PM on a Friday night.

Perfect night in Boquete to treat myself!
Following the recommendation of the well trained team I had a perfectly cooked tuna steak and a creamy dragon fruit ice cream for dessert. I‘m afraid I have missed the starters as both main dish and dessert have been perfect - a reason to come back.
Also highly recommend the Ngädri Cocktail to start the evening.

Wonderful dinner. Fresh and original flavors served with sophistication and style. Everything is gluten free except 1-2 dishes on the menu, that the server readily pointed out to me. Cocktails are delicious and locally-sourced. Seafood was delicious. Vegetables were sublime. We had the seafood stew and the white fish with pickled vegetables. Sounds simple, but the flavors and presentation were complex and symphonic.
