We stopped here for dinner on our first night in Boquete. After a brief stop at the front, we were directed around back to the patio area. Nice vibe, and we were greeted promptly. Clearly a "gringo" sort of place. The servers were attentive and we ordered cocktails and burgers (1 beef and 1 veggie). The cocktails were served right away and were decently strong. The beef burger was pretty good; the veggie burger could have used more spices in the mix and didn't stay together so be prepared to knife&fork it.

Alexandro, Mario and Pedro make a great team and were fantastic, very attentive to all your needs and made the dinning experience a real treat. The food was very tasty and there was a wide menu to cater for all tastes. With the added bonus of the views over Puerto Rico harbour which were stunning would recommend going for a meal.

While waiting for the start of our coffee plantation tour, we ran around the corner to this small patio restaurant for a quick bite. We were told that the aren’t really a fast food place, but they would try to come up with something. And so they did- within 5 minutes, we had delicious chicken tacos and cold beers, and could have spent the entire afternoon enjoying them. We liked the food so much that we came back a second time for margheritas and guacamole. The second time around, we met the owner, Christopher, who stopped for a bit to talk with us before heading out to one of his other restaurants (Christopher’s, which we later visited and also loved). We loved the casual, cozy outdoor venue at Big Daddy’s, and will definitely return when next we visit Boquete.

This place was recommended to us by a friend. We came for lunch and I was happy to see two vegan items listed on the menu. The place was full of expats and visitors. Our waitress was ok. Not friendly or not friendly just in between. I had the vegan burger with curly fries and my partner had grilled fish tacos. My veggie burger was mushy and most of it fell apart and out of the bun. I was given 6 curly fries which seemed skimpy. My partner said his fish tacos were just ok and wondered why they were served with ranch dressing and vinaigrette. The expats took over the entertainment- bussing their own tables, making announcements and setting up card tables in the restaurant. Felt like we were sitting in a senior citizens community center. I asked the waitress for the check which took forever to get then she got busy as she was the only waitress for the entire restaurant. I finally walked my credit card up to the bar where I waited on her to input another tables order into the computer before acknowledging me. We were both happy to leave. Weird atmosphere and mediocre food.

Stopped in for lunch and I had the Boom Boom Salad. The chicken was excellent with loads of flavor, I asked for the dressing on the side and didn't need to use much of it because the sauce on the chicken was so good. My husband had the Chicken Fijita and they were good but not as good as the salad. My husband tried the coconut lemonade and he loved it, I had a margarita and for $4.95 was very large and also very good.

We followed recommendations of the guide book and looked at the reviews and ratings of the people. We stopped at this Grill and looked at the menu and the sea food descriptions looked good. We came back and had the "Catch of the day" (mahi-mahi). Very disappointing. It was tasteless and the piece of fish looked like it had been a store bought frozen rectangular chunk rather than something fresh like the "Catch of the day" it should had been. Even its texture was not quite right. The rice was blend at best but the salad portion very good. The atmosphere was good, the staff very friendly and we met some great people. Do i recommend this place? Unfortunately no because if you are dishing out a good chunk of money for food, one ought to be satisfied. I think and Big Daddy's failed on the "Catch of the Day".

Came in one night based on a recommendation from our hotel. Looking for any easy dinner and a couple of cocktails. Had the Taco’s de Cameromes (shrimp tacos) very tasty and the coconut margaritas (happy hour special). A little sweet, but hey I don’t have it everyday… and I am on vacation. It was a perfect match for the tacos. Loves all the little kittys nestled up on the couch, and one little guy came to sleep by my feet, couldn’t help but share a few pieces of my friends leftover ribs (Kitty loved them)

I ordered a Caesar salad with chicken. The chicken was well prepared. Salad came out in a large bowl that was half empty. There was at least 2x as much dressing on it as I would have preferred.
Overall, it was soggy from too much dressing and the lettuce was gone long before the chicken. The food came out fairly quickly and the staff was friendly and polite.

One person for many tables. A waitress with a rude and arrogant personality did not take our order because according to her comment we had to wait for her because she was busy. We know that if its owner had been present this would not happen. Error in service affects the business.

We were invited with friends to a special dinner at Big Daddy's. The whole experience was lovely, as their (covered) outdoor dining is just lovely. It enticed me to come back several more times to have drinks with new found friends.
The chef prepared an array of perfectly-fried whole snapper and huge shrimp served with several innovative sauces and a healthy portion of fries (as per usual in Panama).
The service was great, the atmosphere welcoming and the food was memorable and the sangria was plentiful and delicious.
The chef even made a special gluten-free version of everything for my daughter who is celiac.

The food was average, nothing great. The bar was very slow and the service was unreasonably below average. Everything is Tremendously way overpriced as Panama is not New York City or Paris, France. Always feel like I was ripped off every time We come out of there.

My husband and I walked over to big daddy’s which is right on the main street of Boquete. There was inside and outside seating available. There was even a sign that said “party in the back,” which we Fundy duddies did not even bother to look at. The margaritas are enormous and they have a variety of flavors. We had a shrimp Po boy and a cheeseburger with curly fries and both were delicious. We will definitely eat there again.

We've eaten here numerous times in the past one year. Love the atmosphere, friendly servers & the owner almost always checks on us. Love the french toast breakfast! Shrimp po boy sandwich, hamburgers, chicken, tacos, are all great for lunch or dinner. The new murals are so colorful & cheerful. The firepit lit at night is another reason we enjoy the ambience here.

If you see the front of this restaurant it really appeals directly to enter. Go around the side of the building and find out what is hidden behind the facade.
It's very tasty here and the service is super friendly.
It is a beautiful and cozy setting.

We visited BD a couple of times during our stay in Boquete, and enjoyed everything about the place. The food was awesome (and won't drain your wallet!), the waitstaff was great, and the laid-back vibe was perfect. The menu had a nice mix of apps, entrees, and desserts, including seafood, beef, and chicken dishes. We were there for lunch and had burgers, and they were very good. They have a full bar with a mix of both local Panamanian brands, as well as USA favorites. I highly recommend Big Daddy's.
Pro tip - if you like a sports bar vibe, take a 10 minute walk and visit Tap Out...another of Chris Young's establishments. You won't be disappointed.
