New owners, new management, new decor, new menu.........just what Cafe Treff needed! Much smaller area with fewer tables, but an excellent place to pop in for a coffee and something to eat. For a local who visited the "old" Cafe Treff Punkt many, many times, it was sad when I heard that Treff will be no more. However - what... More

Unfortunately, there are probably better options these days. Unless you grew up going there you'll fail to see the charm and be annoyed by the poor service and long time it takes to get your food. You can get take away rolls and meat pies (sausage rolls) for a very good price though. Which is probably your best bet.

The staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful, that alone would be a reason to go there. The place itself does need a revamp, especially the bathrooms. Food wise it is a vegetarian's nightmare like in most of Swakpos etablissements. Cheese sandwich or cheese roll, but prepared with enthusiasm.

Did not sit down to eat here, but stopped to buy a collection of cakes as we understood that the bakery was very good. I became known as the cheese cake expert during my days as a restaurant reviewer on the radio, so my aim was to find the best cheese cake in Swakopmund. In SA the American style cheesecake... More

I love this place and always go here for breakfast. The coffee is good and staff really friendly. The brotchen are very reasonably priced and the choices of pastries really good. You can even get you freshly baked bread here. We had a good full breakfast and the portions were very good. I will recommend this to anyone who wants... More

I don't normally complain about food places as a laid back aussie but this place was perhaps the worst food place I went to between Zimbabwe and Namibia. Terrible service from the waitress and the food was microwaved. I asked for two pies and got a pie and sausage roll? Not only this but the pie that was microwaved was... More

Very good with their open brotchen, especially their Roh-hack. This is not for everyone, but I love it with lots of onion, salt and black pepper.

This bakery/coffee shop is an institution in Swakopmund, the interior is a bit dated, but the staff is very friendly and the german pastries are delicious, and they serve very good coffee. Nice place for a sweet break in the afternoon.

Caffre Treff can be found within the CBD on the main road. They have a big variety of dishes to choose from including some traditional German ones. Pastries and desserts can also be bought here to take home. The staff were helpful, but not very enthusiastic. In the end Cafe Treff is just another coffee shop.
