There is a huge choice of places to eat in Essaouira so it can be a bit daunting deciding where to go for dinner. After much wandering around we decided to dodge the stuff on the main thorough fares filled with fellow travelers and head into the side streets. We noticed that this restaurant had received an award by TA... More

We visited this family restaurant with a group of 25 and had a great evening with some lovely Moroccan food. The host was very friendly and goes out of his way to make sure all his guests are comfortable.

As regular visitors to Essaouira we get a bit bored of the same old Moroccan food that many restaurants offer. After all there are so many good 'street restaurants' where a delicious meal can be had cheaply. However each time we go to Essaouira we come here. Whilst the menu contains many of the classics it also has a few... More

We had dinner here on our last evening in Essaouira. The meal was excellent and the portions were generous. We especially enjoyed the time Imam took to visit with us and to share his great recipes!

Typical Moroccan food -- tasty and not too expensive. I had Kefta which was lovely and spiced just right. Superb variety of dishes on the menu and the price is affordable too! The entertainment -- typical for Essaouria -- was a tad noisy -- but authentic!

Can't fault my experience. Fish tagine was a welcome change to the tagines I had around Morocco in last week or so. Nice white fish fell off the few bones, apricots and almonds added the sweetness we've come to appreciate. Rounded out with a great espresso. Recommended absolutely.

Service was good but we must have come when the regular cook was off duty. The meal was fine, it took a very long time, which would be ok if it was amazing, but unfortunately it was just above acceptable. The chicken tagine was tasty but dry, the lamb dish a little better and the fish tagine quite humdrum, with... More

As a family of three vegetarians it was great to find a traditional restaurant with a veggie menu. Friendly service with delicious food, would particularly recommend the vegetable pastille.

This was one of the best meals we had in Essaouira. The harira soup, tagines and the pigeon pastilla were outstanding and the service was friendly and efficient. The chef came out at the end and asked if we had enjoyed our meal which was a nice touch. The atmosphere and decoration was lovely and authentically Moroccan. I would recommend... More
