Amazing food! Both lamb and the chicken. Yellow rice had amazing flavour. Can recommend warmly. Good service too and a busy place for locals. Can always count on that as a reference. Will go again 😊

This is my favourite Beriyani spot. One of the menu which u can't find at other place is their chili pickle. It's awesome.

Ok, many choice of food that you can choose. I only ordered beef 'murtabak' for 2 days in a row. The 'murtabak' is special because it has a full of beef and when you see it cooked in big pan, actually they made a 2 layer that separate by 1 chapati(i think). The murtabak is good when you eat while... More

Stumbled on this Indian restaurant on my first visit to Georgetown in 1992 & have been back on many occassions & always have murtabak dine in as well as takeaway as it is very tasty hot or cold with curry sauce & pink pickled sliced onions supplied by the restaurant We also enjoyed some beef rendang which was quite spicy

This restaurant has been around since 1907 and is frequented primarily by Malays who eat with their hands. Cutlery is provided for Westerners. There are often queues spilling out onto the street so go early to avoid the crush. The restaurant is split into two, the takeout queue and an indoor seating area which is a couple of doors down... I remember the days when you just sat down, and they placed a selection of delicious food in front. You then paid for what you ate. These days, you have to order just what you want, which severely limits the eye candy and chances of trying something new. The food is fine, not exceptional but it has lost a lot... More

The previous reviews seem quite generous given our experience. Undoubtedly language played a part but the service was haphazard throughout. Would have preferred more vegetables although the okra was fine. The food was ok but didn't seem as special as we had hoped. Still, at these prices it is difficult to complain.

I am a hardcore nasi kandar fan. This is a nasi kandar restaurant that everyone must not missed. Its curries, especially the mutton curry is simply superb! It was the best nasi kandar curry I had ever tasted! However, I wouldn't be able to say the same about its fish head curry or kari kepala ikan. The fish head that... More
