Went there several times and I like it very much. Cheap, clean and courteous service. Had a lot of fun and great time. Will be back for sure

If you are short on time, but still want to experience Penang food, this place is a one stop place to try all the various dishes. This food center has everything - oyster omelettes, BBQ, Porridge, Chendol, Japanese Korean etc. The food quality is good in some stalls, but if you hunt, you can find better in Penang.

Before you get in, narrow down and classify what you want to eat. Seafoods, meat, or veges so when you get in, you won't have a hard time choosing

Famously profiled by Anthony Bourdain, this is our favourite hawkers mall. As expected, a great selection of amazing food and great variety. But, for a hawkers mall, it has really fun 'local colour' ambience. Good seating where you are served drinks and can watch a large screen TV. And if that's not enough entertainment for you, the music comes on... More

Pros: Very cheap Huge variety from western to Asian food Huge variety of drinks/beers Lots of fans to keep the area cool Easy to get to Cons: If it's busy the food may take a while to come to your table Not all of the food is nice!

Aimed at mainly tourists. The dishes and the service is maybe a little bit better than at other hawker centers - but the prices are quite a bit higher than at those places. Lots of variety and choices and excellent service.

Red garden is a great little place for tourists to get a large variation of local dishes slightly higher in cost than other hawker stands in Penang but as this place fills up with tourists "Matsalle" they consider very cheap so overall a goto place for sure!!....

This food hawkers market was very close to our hotel - the E&O so we could walk here quite easily. The food on offer was exceptional in taste and variety and the drinks service to each table was well organised. The tip is to get a table first and table number and then go off and order, they will then... More

You can probably get every type of food you want. We wanted a curry and we were very pleased. Have a wander around the various food stalls, make your decision and grab a table. Then take your table number to your chosen stall and order (pay on delivery to your table) Drinks waiters come separately to your table and deliver... More

A lot of options of affordable stalls, with the roasted duck being very good, and a live performance of 3 singers, karaoke style. For the price, very good option!
