A nice little restaurant but still with a bit of a cold shoulder atmosphere to it. I had high hopes for this place. We ate here on the first night at E&O. The waitress seemed very promising at first. We ordered fish and chips. The first order came with 2 decent sized pieces of fish. Then the second order came... More

A range of western and local foods are available on the menu. I ate here twice and the food was good. The venue a little plain and the air conditioning a bit too coo but the food good.

Whilst the quality and variety of food is excellent, the experience can be horrific IF you time it wrong (as we did!) Imagine the crush, the pushing (& pushing in) of 400 people scrabbling for food - & the noise level in the room. Either don't go; or enter the resto AT 1.15pm. When the masses (who enter around 12.00)... More

If you like a crowded, noisy restaurant which more closely resembles a stock lot at feeding time than fine dining enjoy. At E & O you will find overpriced food, coffee machines that don't work, all served on dirty plates. Its such a pity that E & O would lower their standards so low in pursuit of the mighty Ringgit.... I was shocked to discover that the food was below par. The raw sashimi was rather tasteless. Even the cooked seafood was equally the same. I suppose that it was difficult to get fresh seafood during the festive season as most transporters would have gone on a long holiday during this time. Advisable to eat out after the 2nd week... Sarkies [opened 3 years ago] provides a remarkable buffet lunch daily. The specialties are mainly Asian with lots of Western food options. The Duck is remarkable as are the sushi & sashimi selections. Not to be missed is the freshly prepared noodle section- especially Penang's speciality Char Koay Teow. NOTE: Seniors receive a 50% discount.

Had lunch here as we were staying in hotel. Maylasian food was great with a glass of wine and a beer! Not expensive and would recommend! For peaceful setting, sit outside for a wonderful view!

We ate dinner here a couple of times and on both occasion we sat outside. Very few diners. On the first night my beef randang was cold but edible and very tasty – much better second time - my wife’s nasi goring – hotter and very acceptable – and her char koay teow - noodles with prawns – spicy and... We were 4 adults and 6 children... We suffer an hectic service. They were unable to understand the basic of the basics. They served children before adults. Got my noodle before the soup... Ask for caesar salad with dressing aside.... For my daughter... It comes with the dressing on the salad.... I send it back to the kitchen... It comes... More

I stopped by the E&O Hotel to check out the place & have a drink. Although the grounds & hotel are beautiful, I was told they do not allow nonresidents anyplace besides Sarkie's Corner & shoo'ed me away. I eventually found the place--a bunch of tables outside & a room without many tables, atmosphere or staff inside. I asked for... More
