Restoran Sup Hameed, which is opposite Hotel Malaya at Jalan Penang normally crowded with diners. Their sup ayam is superb and comes with slices of bread for dipping in the soup. Their prices are reasonable and service ok as they have a lot of workers. Get a table at the five foot way and can watch passerby including traffic....sitting inside... More

The food here is good, but really not worth the higher price you pay compared to foods in hawker markets and stalls around Georgetown. Using your own senses to find great food, is much more rewarding, and cheaper. Those stalls you find that are not touristy, will usually look after you very well, maybe they take pitty on dumb tourists,... More

Conducted an amazing race for a client and requested to use their restaurant for an activity. Not only did the owner allow us but he didn't charge anything for the food used in the game. Also enjoyed some of the best soup in town. A must visit when in Penang!

Simple local food. Haven't eaten too many different things here but the roti canai are fantastic, served with a bowl of curry for MR1.20 is pretty hard to beat

One of the best kambin soup in town. The Murtabak ok lah. The location is at the center of Georgetown and be ready to face the traffic jam during peak hours.

Situated just opposite between Hotel Continental and Hotel Malaysia ..one of the oldest standing restaurant favoured by the locals and outstation tourists... Spreading its operations...opens two more outlets..one near the HQ police contigent (IPK)..opposite Chowrastra market currently under renovations..while the other near Gama..either one recommended..when hungry.

We ate here twice because it was so delicious. The food was so delicious, not only the soups but also nasi goreng and mee goreng. Yum.

We've been here before and eaten amazing tandoor. Today we ate nasi kandar at lunch. This restaurant is overflowing down the footpaths at night as locals term in to eat amazing cheap food. It's less crowded at lunch but the service from the guys in their loud pink shirts makes up for any loss in atmosphere. We at two huge... More

I was a bit disappointed by the fact that they only had meat soups, since these seem to be their specialties! But overall it was ok!
