Dear Mr Dome, It was love at first sight when we first met you in Kalgoorlie Our affair blossomed all the way to Perth and up the WA coast to Geraldton Imagine our delight when we discovered you in KLIA2 And all those new Malaysian venues We did not mind the price, the sometimes sloppy service, the occasional poor food.... Best coffee in Penang- visited Dome in Straits Quay and that was equally worth the visit! Excellent service and friendly atmosphere as loved the complimentary biscuits!

The more recent times I was there, I had the seafood spaghetti and the sticky date pudding. Service swings between good and very good. When it is a cool evening, you can sit out doors and enjoy the sunset at Gurney. Due to El Nino, it is too hot for that, indoors is deliciously cool.

While holidaying in Georgetown from 28/11/15 to 08/12/15 I called into DOME approximately 4 times mostly in the evenings after my busy day sightseeing. My review is based on my experience calling in at the DOME inside 1st Avenue Mall & only a 10 min walk from my accommodation. The staff were extremely friendly & happy to make conversation, food... Nice quiet place to chill and catch up over a good cup of latte. Good coffee and sandwiches. Service can be a wee bit slow because of the lunch crowd but if you are in no hurry, it is ok

This cafe originating from Perth, Australia has established itself as front runner for delicious comfort food and great coffees. This cafe in Penang is no exception and serves very nice pies, pastas, fish and chips, salads, coffees and drinks. Food as usual was delicious, service efficient and pricing reasonable. A place to have a hassle free meal in comfort.

Well, well, well... We were last here 2 years ago & I was wrapped with the service & food then. Let me tell you that nothing has changed! Love the way they present their large chai lattes in those tall glasses with the brass framed handle. It's a nice little European touch for me - making me think of one... More

We have visited this cafe several times. This time we have pot of tea for two. Nothing much can go wrong with that order. So many other cafés with local staff say they understand your order, but serve what they think you ordered rather than correct order. The tea tasted superb. Very hot, how we like it. No milk, no...
