Lovely Curry!

Great place right on the harbour front and we had a seat with lovely views. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious - we ordered a bit too much. If you don't like it too hot and spicy then just say and they will advise. All in all a great experience.

Great service

We have been staying nearby for a few days and Olive Kitchen is by far the best we have eaten at in the area. Great service and awesone kid friendly Indian food. They have good beer specials before 8pm.

Best meal and view

We love this restaurant. The atmosphere is fabulous by the harbour. As well as the yachts to view there are markets and families promenading along the water front. The menu is extensive with both Indian and western food. The Indian food is delicious. The there is also a wide range of alcohol too. The staff are always happy and welcoming and it is a great place to watch Australian rules football.

Don’t waste your time, misleading reviews

Don’t waste your time. Had high hopes because of trip advisor reviews but the overall experience was disappointing. The waiter asked impatiently if we were going to order and then walked off for ages before us having to call him back. When he took our order he didn’t write it down initially, repeated it back to us but missed some items so went to find paper and had us repeat the order. DON’T ORDER the Black Forrest Mojito it was VILE! Tasted like a cheap Christmas candle. The bar staff and waiter were both rude when I asked what was in the drink as it wasn’t what I expected and they gave no apologies at all or asked if I wanted something else. The waiter had a bad attitude the rest of the time we were there. ALL the food was loaded with chilli padi without any warning. So hot that we didn’t finish most of the dishes. The mahi tikka was tasty, the rest of the food was really poor. I wouldn’t go back or recommend.

Delicious lamb rogan josh

Great menu with lots of options - Indian and western plus a kids menu. Serves alcohol too as it’s linked to the bar outside. Lamb rogan josh is delicious as are the desserts. Highly recommend.

I visited this place with my hubby and 2 other friends. I was very impressed with the service and quality of food. Food was excellent! The food presentation was good too. It is kind of away from JB Central but worth the time and money we spent there. We will definitely come back. Thank you

Great place to gather with friends, relatives . The restaurant design is amazing 😍. Waiters are lovely , they keep checking on us to make sure we have everything we need. I highly recommended.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A place with good food and service

I visited Olive Kitchen + Bar with my wife on 28.04.23. We ordered a Chicken Briyani, Bread platter with some lamb curry. The briyani was nice, a different taste. The bread platter and lamb curry was really good. We also ordered a jug of Long Island Tea which was good. My wife was having a headache and I asked the service crew whether he has any Paracetamol available, he went above and beyond to get 2 tablets of Paracetamol for my wife. Service was excellent. Ambience was also very nice. Good Food...Good Service...Good Ambience... I would definitely visit again...

Nice Indian meal in a casual setting

We visited here on our first night in JB as a recommendation from my sister. We ordered a range of foods including the butter tandoori chicken, a selection of naan’s, rice and biriyani. Service was great and the food was really nice. We also had a few cocktails which went down a treat

Previously service + food was superb, but today I’m very very disappointed with 1)service-filling drinking water into tumblers(many), spilled, never bother to wipe table. 2)food -horrible, vegetarian platter, dry and tasteless, panner squishy, pineapple bitter & sour, Vege Briyani over cooked & it taste more like fried rice. When feedback to manager, the answer I got was, why other no complain only you saying not nice. He also sarcastically said its same cook, same service people,same SOP. Though he apologises but I could accept it because it wasn’t sincere.😢 Please take note this is not my first time to here, been many times that’s why I can know the differences😡😡😡. I recommended this place to my friend for he moms birthday celebration but I really regret. I really felt shame of what happened. Will never ever Reccomend to anyone.......☹️☹️🙁
