I'm a little ashamed to say I ate here all 3 nights I stayed in Fianar, but it was pretty good so I don't feel too bad. Especially since it looked like the other restaurant I wanted to try, Panda, was closed while I was in town. To answer other people's reviews it's a little pricey but not by much... More

Our group of 10 had dinner here while on a tour of Madagascar. It is a charming restaurant with a delightful garden. Everyone got to select a starter, entree, and desert. My spouse and I chose the foie gras, which we love, for a starter. However, it was not creamy, was hard to spread, and the flavor was so strong... More

This is a lovely restaurant located in a charming wooden guest house set on a hill side. The garden is pretty and the staff are helpful and speak good English. The food was tasty and well presented.

Having been to a few places in Fianaratsoa we didn't have especially high hopes although had heard good things. As soon as you walk in it is a warm and friendly greeting, the garden and conservatory feel a world away from the outside. The portions are small and overpriced, the wine is double the cost that it is in the... More

We ate here several times because the food was so good--Gassy-French fusion, with some imaginative touches. We did not stay but looked at some rooms: some are nicer than others, but the standard is high and the garden attractive.

The dining room is nice, quite small and has a private feeling to it. Would be good for a romantic dinner. The menu was interesting; we stayed on HB at the hotel and where not able to chose from the main menu. At the bar they prepared for us a very good pina-colada. They also have a nice wine list... We Didn't have a full meal here, but as we were staying here we had dessert and cocktails. I know its not expensive in comparison to England, but for Madagascar, this was very expensive, that said, the dessert was very nice. We had dinner at a tiny restaurant down the road that was much nicer and cheaper!

The restaurant was highly recommended, but we were not up for supper when we arrived. We did however take the breakfast buffet and enjoyed it very much. The decor and setting also added a lot to the experience.

Skilled and knowledgable staff, better food than other area restaurants for the same price, and definitely the best eating atmosphere in town.
