When reading this review, please bear in mind that, although I (a westerner) have enjoyed Japanese food (including teppanyaki) for twenty-five years or more, this was the first meal I had eaten in Japan itself, on the first day of a vacation, and we were celebrating a birthday. And I'm definitely not a foodie. This was without doubt the best... More

We had teppanyaki dinner here. The beef was tender and tasty. The portion of the food was just right so we could enjoy all the dishes without being too full. The restaurant was quiet with good ambience. They have an English speaking staff explaining each dish to us who was very attentive.

Love the food, love the service. We didn't make a booking. And we're lucky to get the last table even though we went there around 6:45 pm. We ordered this combination of beef for 2 persons and 2 rice, plus 2 beer. We were so full. And the price was around 20000 yen. The staff speaks little English. But they... More

We r a family of 4 adults plus one baby and we visited the beef barbeque section on 2/F. The restaurant is very clean and cozy, the environment is what u expect in a top japanese cuisine. Yet, there is nothing else we r pleased about. Firstly when we first entered the restaurant, the reception(who looks like the manager) seemed... More

My relatives decided to surprise me by taking me out for a teppanyaki lunch at Kira. Unfortunately, they didn't make reservations and all of seats at the teppanyaki grills and the yakiniku tables were full, so we ended up with a choice of either shabu shabu or seiromushi. We went for one of the deluxe shabu shabu courses, which of... More

A special 3 storey building which always caught people's eyes when passing by. The Teppanyaki table could serve around 10 guests, other area was for yakiniku. Nice scenery by Naka River and overlooking Tenjin Central Park Lunch set at 2900-7700 yen Dinner course at 8200-16500 Saga beef was available here. 80% customers at the Teppanyaki table were tourist.

Upmarket (expensive) but superb Teppanyaki. Great location right on the river (and was nice and close to our hotel). Top Teppanyaki is expensive in Japan and this place is no exception but if that doesn't matter and you are after first class food and service, this is the place for you.

If you are looking for a premium Japanese beef this is the place to go. We went for yakiniku but table is not available so we try tepanyaki in stead and not disappointed at all. Shared counter table is by the river so beside good food we also have nice view. But don't expect the knife show the chef making... More

Determined to try Saga Beef in Kyushu and located this one in Fukuoka. Ordered the Saga Beef lunch menu and it turned out to be very satisfying. The loin was well marbled and melted in your mouth. Unfortunately, the Saga piece was too small for my liking.
