I visited on a weekday and lined up 5 mins before the opening time of 11.30am. The lone wasn't too bad because the service is quick and being a solo traveller is easy because you can get a spot on the counter. I just asked for the most popular dish, the beef topped with tempura and it was amazing. The... More

I went at 11am to queue for half an hour to get in here. Well worth the wait - the place is packed with locals. I had the beef noodles - best noodles on my trip. Highly recommended.

We got there early around 10:45am and we were like 3rd in the cue so we made it in with the first group of people. We ordered the beef udon topped with tempura, kept it simple and ordered the one bowl of udon! The broth was perfect, salty enough for me too enjoy, the tempura still had some crunch to... More

We arrived about 30 minutes before opening and it there was already a line down the street. Fortunately, we were able to squeeze in for the first sitting. As other reviewers have mentioned, there is no English menu and the staff did not speak English, so we were a little panicked when we were asked to order less than a... More

The best udon we had so far, at tiny tiny prices. This small restaurant prepares fresh udon in front of the customers - you can see a cook pressing and cutting the dough before putting the freshly done noodles in boiling water. You can't have it more fresh. There is no English menu and the staff does not speaks English... More

We were looking for an authentic udon restaurant near the vicinity of the hotel, and we found this place via trip advisor - a place we think would not have as much patrons were it not for the good reviews from TA. (much to the dismay of the locals we surmise, given the long lines to get a bowl of... More

Very cheap and interesting experience. The freshest udon you'll try. The udon is prepared from a slab of dough, cooked, and served within 5-10 minutes from your order. I wouldn't suggest a group any larger than 4 as it's quite a small restaurant.

I was told this is a famous one. I guess this is famous for the price. Soup was a bit sour and the noodle was really thick (over cooked) It is not worth it to find this restaurant. Tenpura was also too much oily.... Beef was smelly... It was the worst udon in my life.

I was for brunch time and the food the service was really nice. We came this place at open time exactly, but some people(5-6) have already waited and make a line. After around 10 minutes, we were able to enter the shop. We ordered Burdock and Shrimp Noodle (Ebi Gobou Ten) and Inari sushi. The staff brought our noodle so... More

I saw there are reviews only in Japanese, so decided to make a small contribution myself. This is a small-sized udong restaurant with a casual atmosphere. Pretty close to Hakata station, but not easy to locate. I wouldn't have been able to find this gem without the guidance of my Japanese friend. I don't think the restaurant managers ever feel...
