A stew of beef bowel and vegitables served with noodle and/or rice. Not so greasy as we had expected. Delicious! You need reservation and they don't accept cerdit card. 30$/ person is enough.

This is a very reputable local restaurant so we had to try it - went on a Sunday night with almost no seats available, we didn't have a reservation but were lucky that we were given a 1 hour slot to eat and leave before time's up. Food came really fast after ordering so time wise worked out okay. The... More

The restaurant is not so far from the Akasaka station, located on the second floor of the building on the first floor is the supermarket. Staff are very attentive. There are non smoking section. The price shown in menu is per one guest but you have to order at least two for 1 motsunabe. I really like the taste of... More

This is truly a restaurant for locals ( although they have an English menu) and foodie tourists. Loved the taste of the Beef intestines...Come if you are a true foodie. Like the typical nabe, more veg than meat but I love the fact that they said " Sorry, we do not offer vegetarian menu". Tried the beef cheeks and the... More

Trying the Fukuoka specialty "hakata motsunabe" is a must for foodies visiting the city (but if you don't like pork tripes, then you better skip it.) Now there are dozens of motsunabe restaurants in Fukuoka, but the legendary Yamanaka is still the best. The Akasaka branch is a bit difficult to find, since it's located on the 2nd floor of... More

We were brought here by our tourist guide during dinner. The interiors are modern, with a retro ambiance not typical of a japanese interiors but this, resto serves a modern authentic cuisine. We were given a hotpot with a mixture of vegetables and meat boiled in a broth. It was so good. The broth is very tasty and the veggies are fresh.... More

I was brought here by a local Japanese for a business dinner. I didn't know this is rated #1 on tripadvisor! What luck! It's got multiple floors and we had to leave our shoes in lockers downstairs. It's floor seating so after 2-3 hours of sitting cross-legged it gets uncomfortable . It's totally packed during the 3 hours we were... More

Motsu is Japanese for internal parts of the animals. only certain people like this kind of food in Japan. No Japanese should recommend this to any tourists. This is not Japanese main stream food, this is junk food like some foods in America.

there is an age limit in this restaurant. if you are under 18, you cannot eat at this branch, so please try the one in Ohashi.
