Ichiran ramen is nothing foreign or new to us to visited Japan before. This particilar brunch of Ichiran ramen located behind Ninshitetsu grand hotel is different as they serve more expensive Ichiran Ramen (1010yen with tamago instead of usual 910yen). The ramen comes in a square bowl instead of usial round bowl. It tasted the same, except the soup is... More

Ichiran have been making only one type of ramen, Tonkotsu ramen, since the 1960s, and they are very good it. When entering you have a choice of seating, either downstairs in a restaurant style (good for groups), or upstairs in individual booths. Downstairs you will have a waiter to take your order. Upstairs you order with a vending machine (fairly... More

There was a long line wanting to enter the restaurant when I arrived. I was handed a sheet by the person in front of me in the line to fill. It was to choose my preferences for the ramen that I want. I chose for everything to be medium since it was my first time there. If you can't read... More

Comparing the soup base with other ramen shops, or even same company branch in Tsim ashamed Tsui, Hong Kong, it was much much super. The heavy porcelain rectangular bowl with heavy cover locked the heat and soup in original state when it was cooked. Soup base was condensed, thick and not salty. I drank it all after eating ramen. We... More

This is a famous ramen establishment and when in Fukuoka, you definitely have to try their ramen. This establishment may now be somewhat of a tourist-trap --- when I visited it, all the people sitting in the same counter as where I was seated were tourists. Is this the best ramen I've ever tasted? No. But the taste of ramen... More

What an amazing experience. I had wanted to visit this restaurant - but upon my first solo visit into Fukuoka I was certain I wouldn't be able to find it and it was a cold, rainy day so I didn't even think to ask for help from anyone. As I was struggling to take photos with my umbrella and camera... More

On our last day in Fukuoka we wanted to grab some ramen. The price was normal and the portion is huge. They have many options to choose from in English or in Japanese. choose between the type of meat, how much oil, the degree of spicyness etc. Place is clean, service quick and the eating area is seperated from the... Ichiran ramen is the best ramen I've had so far, and I keep going back. I like how you can choose the spiciness, thickness of the broth, etc. The service is great, once you press the button in front of you, the staff serves you immediately.

If you're not familiar with the ordering process I would recommend visiting outside of peak hours. The system all makes sense once you understand it but may confuse first time users who do not speak or read Japanese. You put your money in the vending machine first, then make your selections and receive docket(s) which you hand to staff once... More

Ate this before in Tokyo, but noticed that this one l had in Tenjin, Fukuoka is more tasty, and it's really spicy which is what l like. Only downside is the quantity is too little, if no noodles are added, it's not filling enough. But taste wise was really delicious.
