A must-try. Rich and very good. Prefer the original to the chocolate version. Even if you have no time to stop, it is worth buying one back to the hotel to try.

Good Chocolate Shop but not much variety. They sell Chocolate Fromage cake similar to their Double Fromage Cheesecake but I prefer fir the latter @ the Original Le Tao Shop

LeTAO is definitely one of the main sweets store in Otaru. It's been here for years and they have taken over many locations. Beware the cakes are really rich in flavor

After walking for awhile around in Otaru, it was really a nice treat for afternoon tea. The tea served in pot was fragrant and the cheesecake melts. Though rather pricey, it is value for quality and freshness. Service was quick and polite except waiting time for 30 minutes during peak times. While waiting, one can hop downstairs to have a... There are 3 LeTao restaurants in Otaru. All of them located nearby each other. Nice view is at the corner of the road. But we went to the Pathos one. Cheese cake is very nice. My friends tried chocolate float n said very nice. Only one bad experience there. We tried to reserve seats while other friends queue for purchasing... More

We stopped by after we visited the Otaru Music Box museum. Le Tao was very famous with it's cakes and desserts in Hokkaido so we really want to try it our self. We headed to the 1st floor of the cafe and ordered some cakes and orange juice. Staffs service was good and the cake was soft and delicious. Probably... More

The most soft and sweet cheese cake I ever had. Unfortunately for people can not come to test here because it must be eaten by 24 hrs for the best test.

We were delighted at seeing the beautifully decorated chocolates and decided to try a few. The taste did not disappoint and we went home with another box!

Our standard of Hokkaido ice cream is high and Letao chocolate ice cream is not quite up to the mark yet. The chocolate and ice cream is not combined together well. Quite disappoint when you need something to fresh up yourself during hot day in Otaru. Take note that we only try chocolate cream.
