Go early around 5pm. If not the que after 6pm is super long! The best unagi don i have tried so far. Portions was a lot that you can try more than 4 ways of eating as being taught. I love all the 4 ways of eating as they all each have their own taste and best thing is, its... More

Made it to this restaurant on weekday, 2:20pm. There were no waiting queue! Last order was at 2:30pm. Ordered the standard set. Was very nice and had a charcoal smokyness at 1st bite. 3 ways of eating the eel and my preference was the 2nd method. Highly recommend that you give it a try.

I had such high expectations after reading the reviews, however the meal was good but not amazing, the portions are hugh a lot of rice, so you can order the main eel dish to share! Don't make the same mistake as us!

Nagoya has its own style for Unagi (between Tokyo and Osaka). This 140 year old restaurant is reputed to be the best. It has 3 locations and the one in Matsuzakaya Department Store is closest and most convenient to Nagoya Station. I had a full set and the Unagi was charcoal grilled to perfection with a very tender, fresh texture... More

This is our 2nd visit in 2 years time. Remembered our first visit was for lunch and we had to queue for almost 45min to get a table. This time we went there for dinner and surprise, surprise, there is no queue! Very pleased with it. The food is just as delicious as before. We had a very satisfying meal... More

A friend asked us to try this place and we were not disappointed. Eel us fresh and week barbecued over charcoal fire fit that extraordinary taste. Tender, succulent and minimal fish taste. It's served over rice and with seasoning and a soup to eat it there different ways. Each service is about usd40 not expensive for good eel. Be aware... More

We went early at 6pm so the queue was not too long. Excellent Unagi wish a nice charcoal taste. Waitress was nice and spoke decent English and the meal was not too expensive actually.
