Cafe Zambezi serves nice African dishes. some are very spicy (!) You sit in an nice open space in the back of the building You would not expect that seeing the building up front! Very friendly and hospitable staff.

Some locals recommended this restaurant to us and thus we tried a dinner here. It's spacious with many more tables innerside and the waitress was quite friendly and helpful. There were quite many choices in the Menu and the waitress recommended some game meat to us. At the end, we only ordered some ordinary meat like pork ribs, chicken, crocodile... More

This place was very crowded and full of tourists. They are drawn by the game meat (crocodile, kudu, etc). I had a kudu burger that had very little meat and so many condiments that you could barely tell it was kudu. My husband had the peri-peri crocodile sandwich, which was much better. More of a place for novelty than very... More

The café will give you loads of food which you simply cannot finish at one go. it is so well prepared I had to call the chef to congratulate her. Try the CROCODILE RIBS! Awesome. However, anywhere in public places in Livingstone there are just lots of flies - they are everywhere. If you can stomach some of that, you... More

We were recommended this place to try "authentic" local cuisine. Turns out the locals generally cannot afford to eat there. Flies everywhere. Cleanliness patchy. The food included crocodile, impala and kudu. The servings were huge. The food was fairly average. Service was fairly good. Friendly and efficient. Shame about the flies and the lack of hygiene.

Found the restaurant through trip advisor and decided to give it a go. Wasn't too happy with the decision. We went there for lunch, order our starters and mains at the same time. Mains came about 15 minutes before the starters (why are they called starters?). Way tooo many flies, all over the food and drinks, waitress decides to bring... More

Reading through a number of reviews about the Cafe Zambezi and having visited the premises, I was very disappointed because my expectations were very high. The place looks run down and non of my family members (we were six in all) enjoyed their food. Food was either cold, over spiced or hard. We had fish n chips, crocodile burger, t-bone... More

Stopped in here for lunch and ordered a few cocktails and some lunch. We like food and ordered the starter platter and 2 mains. 1 main would have been enough for the both of us. The food is of great quality, staff are friendly and wifi available. Definitely worth checking out.

We went to Café Zambezi hoping for something local and authentic. Café Zambezi isn't that, it's pretty touristy, but they have options other than pizza and the food was pretty good. The restaurant is big and airy, with plenty of seating in the dinning room and an open courtyard. The fans and shade weren't quite enough on a hot day... More

I've eaten here several times over a period and never been disappointed with service or food quality. It is a throbbing restaurant and pub and popular with both tourists and locals. Advance booking for tables greater than 2 people is highly recommended. Any visit to Livingstone without a stop over here is an incomplete visit to Livingstone.
