Believe it or not the pizza has gotten better over the years. It used to be greasy and is not very good. Thank goodness!

In an age of nondescript conglomerate-owned pseudo Italian restaurants, Astro's still offers the real deal: generous honest family fare. Still ruled by the lovely mater familias, a true signora, you can't go wrong at Astro's. .
Worst pizza in the area. Not enough sauce, very doughy, sparse toppings. Drive a little further to Fierro's in East Hampton or Sausages in Montauk.

Their sauce on the pizza is great and so is their cheese. They do not burn it and say that is the way people like it like some Greek places I have been to. Their canollis are perfect and they make them after you order.....More
