Fantastic taste... I just spend one night in Izmir. Late arrival and hungry. Central situated at Alsançak quarter, this restaurant served very good quality with an excellent service and an acceptable Price. I will return definitively ...

Located on a very busy street we decided to have lunch here. They offer a big variety of soups and local food. The locals seem to like it because a lot of them had their lunch break there. I had a tomato soup and Cheese and Egg Pide. Both of them were good, but nothing special. The service was fast... More

It is open for 24 hours, authentic turkish foods. Especially soups are amazing. If you like authentic you should try. Service is very fast, and price is low. Suggestible.

If you are after some traditional Turkish soup then this is the place to come. All kinds of soups from sheep's head (all parts of the sheep) to vegetable etc. The restaurant is popular, clean and well run and seems to be a good place to take the kids for soup and bread.

Well portions were reasonable. But definitely not my home cooking style of food. I expected more since it was recommended to us. Would not go back even though the service was very attending and good.

Well, I hope they were just having a bad day. The service was very slow. Someone had to go fetch the waiter. Once he came and got our order, the soups came -- cold. The waiter asked if we wanted the garlic sauce. We said yes. The sauce never came. Soups got colder... We drank what was by then gazpacho.... More

Ismet Usta serves a selection of Turkish dishes cooked expertly. It is a restaurant locals frequent, which is a good sign. Prices are very modest. If one is adventurous enough "kelle" and tripe soup are among the dishes worth trying. Service is not refined but neither is baked ship's head (kelle) served on a platter!

This is a lovely clean place with local specialties. Great if you like to taste local flavours. They're famous for soup's (corbaci).
