Well dressed, typical Anatolian atmosphere. Excellent service, local wine and what is most important (at least most of the travelers) the best kebab in pot. When you're for one day in Goreme worth to visit one evening. Prices quite reasonable. Better to request in advance while as I was told preparation of real kebab takes 2 hours.

This was my second visit with a school group. This is a fantastic meal! We were given a variety of foods to sample (more than we could eat), each freshly prepared in a traditional home cooking environment. The highlight is the main meal, cooked in sealed clay pots, which the students got to crack open. The staff are a family... More

Great food - had the local dish, Testi kebab, slow cooked in traditional clay pots. House wine was very good too. Fabulous atmosphere in this 475 yr old house, that has been in the family for 5 generations.

I visited this restaurant when I satyed at Goreme. I think that it is the best restaurant of Goreme. Inside you can seat at the cushions and relax while you have your lunch or diner. You can also go there in order to taste wines or take a drink. The menu is not very excented but it has traditional turkish... More

We ordered our 4 Beef and 2 Chicken dishes in the morning to allow the Chef ample time to cook the dishes in the special closed Red River clay pots for 3 hours. The most delicious meal we have had in Turkey served in the original centuries old Family home. Wonderful ambience plus tasty dips and salads. Great value.

Highly recommended by locals this restaurant certainly didn't disappoint. With not a typically western chair or table in site, we were shown to our dining area complete with floor cushions and squabs as well as a one foot tall table. The staff were helpful and friendly but were outshone by the gorgeous food and setting. Even in the off season... More

This restaurant came recommended by our hotel and it was lovely. Old fashioned, Turkish style - sitting on the floor. Great mezze selection, great service and a very nice wine collection. The restaurant is located in an old stable that was turned into a family home and then into a restaurant. A very nice setting. Not difficult to find! Highly... More

Great decor and atmospheric set in a 450 year old building. This is a family run restaurant - majlis style seating. The menu is limited though with plenty of choice for vegetarians. Portions are small and the only mezzes given are pickles and cabbage. Overpriced ( you pay for the location and amosphere). Bookings are necessary as it is always... More
