The ambiance is very nice, looking like a ballroom but then unfortunately it starts: reservation lost but got a table anyway. The menu choice are pretty much standard but ok, the wine list poor.
The waiters (no maitre d') are no way conversational, just took...the woüine list off the table before we could order. The campari was filled up with orange juice to the rim. The starters (Shrimp, cocktail and a so called carpaccio) were taken off the table without even asking if we were finished and were both tasteless, the cocktail glass was served on a discoloured old and chipped dish. The entrées (lamb chops and filet) were topped with the same glutinous sauce and the dishes, except for the meat were exactly the same in presentation. No supervision except for some man who's walking around with his fedora. Sorry for calling him just 'man', the preceding "gentle-" does not apply to someone not taking off his hat in a restaurant IMHO.
No idea about the desserts as we just asked for the check and left, without a single word from the staff. Very sad for such lovely placeMore
Excellent food, excellent service, and very good value for money we ended up eating there 3 days during our five days holiday we just loved the Couscous and their drinks excellent setting and good value for money
Situated in the complex of the "Casino", el Ferida restaurant offers a menu of traditional as well as international cuisine... delicious , excellent presentation and service. The décor of the restaurant is typical Tunisian and of fine taste ....
A must go to while in...Djerba!More
well what can i say? the decor is lovely and the head waiter is very nice but not so impressed with the food...
starters were really nice so my expectations for the main course were high..not so good mine or the husbands!!!
didn't bother with...desert just got the bill don't see what all the hype about this restaurant is for had nicer food at the hotel and in Tunisia that says something!!!More
Decor is great with carved wooden roof and nice table settings. However in my opinion the food was disappointing.
Only one of the four cous cous was available when we visited. I found the bones in the fish cous cous to be difficult as the...whole steamed fish was laid on a bed of cous cous.
When leaving the casino the staff did not order a cab when we asked about one but instead sent us out into the rain to get one on the street.
Overall a disappointment in my opinion.More
Located in the same complex where the casino is located on the upper floor. The decor is unique and the ambiance is elegant. The service is a bit old school but the food and overall experience are great. There is very subtle music played by...a nice man and his small guitar. Highly reccomended for special occasions, very good value.More
