If you're in search of an American style breakfast, this is a great place to go. Nice bar seating that overlooks the street (no ocean view). The food was good. And ironically while we were here a herd of cats came to say hello!

Only went evenings for the jazz and nice atmosphere. I thought the man played some excellent music switching back and forth between trumpet and bass over recorded "beats". Drinks was reasonably priced. Didn't try rooms or food.

Had breakfast here two days in a row and tried different options, from 125b to 185b. The ryebread is good and so are the eggs and coffee. The homemade buns taste good but day two they were a bit to dry... Open from 7 am which is a plus since not many other places are open this early in Hua... More

Was traveling for fine months in Thailand and without a doubt it was the worst place we stayed in for the price!! Most plug sockets were broken, shower didn't work properly, toilet didn't work properly, tv didn't work properly, windows were broken so it let in mosquitos, bed was rock solid and as a person with a bad back I... Perhaps the rooms in the main building are OK, but avoid the cheaper rooms; the shared bathrooms are never clean, and the structure of the rooms is so bad that you hear every decibel of noise made by a neighbour - good luck sleeping if you have a noisy one!

I want to begin by noting that this isn't a restaurant critique. This is a critique of the Fat Cat accommodation (I haven't eaten in their restaurant yet.) For the money, this is an excellent option: Clean and comfortable beds. Fridge and TV. High-speed (complimentary) wifi. A very friendly and interesting owner (Danish guy). Good staff. This must be the... More

European breakfasts are very poor & not worth this price. The biggest breakfast doesn't look like in a picture on menu. Tasteless coffee.

We arrived in hua hin late in the evening and wanted a cheap place to stay. We paid 400 baht for s huge room on the top floor sleeps 3 people with a sea view. The room was clean but extremely hot. Sheets looked clean and beds were comfortable. Very loud outside at night lots of dogs barking. Curtains very... More

Owner indulges of a evening in playing trumpet or double bass in a jazz style to a computerized backing track, not a piano in sight. He's not best and hits a couple of bum notes but his steak, chips and salad with a beer or wine for 199 Baht sounded good to me and I had that a few times.... More

As other reviewers have mentioned, the owner was bizarrely rude. We were staying in one of the guestrooms, and wanted to use the Wi-Fi in the cafe. We stayed in the cafe for a few hours, but we confirmed with the staff that it was ok and kept ordering food and drinks to be polite. Then the owner showed up... More
