When in Galle Fort a must stop for the best Turkish eggs and Pizza

Really enjoyed our brunch here, the food was exceptional, loved the Turkish eggs, the creamy lemonade is an absolutely delicious thirst quencher and I really enjoyed my honey mocha latte. The butter chicken dish was fantastic! The service was spot on…The kids loved pizza and we all loved vibe and heating about the history of the oldest and first oven in the Galle Fort. A definite must visit for great food that is really well priced

The staff were lovely, especially our serve Manusha, the sweetest boy. Food was good too, one of the better meals I’ve had in Sri Lanka. I ordered the coconut prawn curry which was delicious, and my friend liked her seafood fried rice too.

Best Pizza in Sri Lanka

Best pizza in Sri Lanka. We came here based on a friends recommendation. Stunning restaurant. In an old Dutch building. A mix of antiques and trendy details. The courtyard is stunning. And they have a 100 plus year old brick oven. The pizzas were simply devine. Thin crust with fresh ingredients. We had the devilled chicken and Margarita Thatcher. Both worthy of 6 stars. The bespoke juices were fresh and the Greek salad was a great twist on what we expected. Service was prompt and professional. It was refreshing to see a place employing femske staff too. We will be back.

the food was truly excellent and authentic. we had a margarita pizza, batticalo prawn curry with yellow rice with a seafood fried rice and drinks! definitely recommend and we loved their staff. very polite and sweet.

Lovely evening in Galle

The restaurant is beautiful. It’s set in a gorgeous old shophouse courtyard. The menu has everything from local dishes to western delights. I had a steak sandwich with sweet potato fries and my wife the “Italian job” (a chicken schnitzel cheese melt). Both were delicious. The young gentleman, Manush, who served us was polite and attentive throughout. As an aside: their playlist was all early 2000s hip hop bangers (Akon, Usher, etc.) and we loved reminiscing our younger days 😂

Cool place for dinner at the heart of Galle Fort

We had a lovely dinner at Sugar Bistrot. The prawn curry was simply delicious and very well presented. My boyfriend had potato gnocchi which tasted like Italy 😉 If you have a sweet tooth, go for the home made ice cream or the mango & sago pudding. Last but not least, the staff is extremely friendly 😊

Really good meals.

We enjoy a delicious meal in Sugar Bistro. We were there to drink something but we stayed for lunch beause of the delicious meals that we saw the other clients were eating. After we ordered home made gnoccis and a burguer and both were very good. Staff were very friendly too. Highly recommended.

Really bad experience. We ordered lemon iced tea, a lime+soda and a hot chocolate. They brought a coffee instead of hot chocolate. Lime soda and iced tea were also bad. Overall experience was unpleasant

Great restaurant, friendly staff, good choice of options on the menu. Staff knowledgeable on spice vs heat and would make recommendations to suit. This is an alcohol free restaurant but the mocktails are made to order and really good.

Absolutely fabulous pace for a great meal in the fort. Cooling down with their refreshing lemonade is an experience in itself. A wide and varied menu all reasonably priced and excellent quality and service. The burrata pizza was delicious as were the burgers!

Romantic Dinner

Wonderful and febiules location with a great plesent staff and excelent service my wife was really happy with the food and the location the pizza was lovely and i orderd a beef stroganoff which was amezing. I recommend this place for familys and love ones to come and hang around. Wish for the sucsess and for sure we will be back.

Best pizza so far in The Sugar Bistro at The Heritage

We were just walking and searching for a place to have dinner. We had one of the best pizzas - "The Deviled Chicken Pizza" so far here. The portion was very good, taste - yum, freshly baked. The server Manusha is the sweetest boy you would ever find. He was thorough with the briefing,knows how to treat everyone well and accommodated our requests for the kids as well.

Best Food in town love the reef fish it has lots of flavors in it and really friendly staff with professional looking and excellent service. Love the location and calm atmosphere. Specially the best pizza’s with verities of toppings quality products. Good luck for the team.
