How is Abacate rated?

We found this little restaurant whilst wandering around Galle Fort and we are so glad we went in! The food was some of the tastiest we have had in Sri Lanka - I can highly recommend the coconut roti and hoppers with Dhal. We even...got offered more Dhal during the meal! Anyone who is around Galle Fort should definitely make a trip here, the service is incredible and such a nice place to visit. Thank you so much!More

Delicious, friendly, local

A wonderful find on a hot hot day!

We always seem to find ourselves somewhere interesting at midday…. Midday in a hot Galle Fort in Sri Lanka! There, just along a side street in the shade was a tiny cafe, just a few seats and a mature owner who was kindness itself. Freshly...made mango lasi was delicious especially as he does not add any sugar, just pure fruit. We will be back tomorrow to try out the hoppers, or pancakes, or curries, or……..Yum!More

Fabulous small local eatery

Tiny little place on a side street in the middle of the upmarket boutique area of Galle fort. Food was incredible, some of the best I've had in Sri Lanka. Particularly recommend the hoppers, with a nice fruit juice. Friendly family service, great food, keen...prices. A must for food lovers in the Fort.More

Really great little place. The family running the restaurant are lovely people and very friendly. The food was delicious and service was quick. We came back twice in 24 hours we enjoyed it so much

A must visit in Galle

Delicious food at a really cheap price. The owner was very friendly. Everything is cooked fresh to order and our curries were refilled when we finished the first bowl. Best place I ate in Galle.

In love

Super authentic little restaurant with amazing curries. Extremely friendly family and owner, we had great conversations. The food is so good that we drove 30 minutes from Hikkaduwa to have dinner at the restaurant again. Also the prices are really fair not like in many...of the other tourist restaurants around Galle Fort. You can order extra portions of the curries for as long as you're hungry. Definitely the best food we had in Sri Lanka so far!More

Such a nice experience

We really loved this place so much - we ordered Sri Lankan Hoppers and smoothies and it was all delicious and very, very good value for money! The place is tiny and family-run and very well taken care of. The owner asked us many times...if we wanted some more of the food, but we were completely full and happy :) we got some more of the smoothies though, as there was still some left in the smoothie-blender - all for the same price indicated in the menu. To top it off, a peacock landed on the roof of the place - apparently they do that often! :)More

Very delicious breakfast

We had our breakfast two mornings and it tasted very good and fresh ! You can have oats, Juice, coffee, tea, pancakes and much more
