Just want to inform that MAYA restaurant is not closed. I went there yesterday. We selected the set menu for 8 people(though we were 7) and it was a lot. We also took additional samosas as it was not included in the set menu and they were huge(was spicier than the average spice taken in Korea). Overall the food was... More

this place is closed now, but there is maybe one or two other Indian restaurants in the area. When they were open this was a go-to spot for my friends and I. Their food was very authentic, and the wife and husband who were owners were always nice and sweet to us (so was the chef). I would go on...... More

Just to let you guys know, it's still very open. At the North Gate bus stop there is an ally behind the Innisfree. Maya is upstairs on the 3rd floor. All the maps say something different but I promise you its there (I ate there last week and have been 3 times). Food is good and service is fast. Prices... More

I loved this place but it has closed down about 10 months( not sure about the exact date) ago. It changed to a dessert cafe.

The owners are from nepal, but trust me they really cook good Indian cuisine. The chicken tandoori and tikka were mouth watering. Garlic bread and the nuns are delicious. The curries are not bad, but there is chance for improvement. The biriyani rice is good, but not the ideal one if you are from sub continent, but the Koran people... More

Whenever I was in Daegu, Maya was a regular stop. There can be a bit of a wait, but never too long. It might be that being an expat made the food taste even better, but the garlic naan and tikka masala were so good that they helped battle the occasional bout of Korean blues. People who don't think this... More

Really good Indian is not easy to find in Daegu. Maya has a decent lunch special. I have eaten there twice and always felt like I got my money worth.

I have gone to both of the Maya locations in Daegu, both for special occasions like birthdays and simply for the great food. The staff and the owner (PK) are incredibly helpful and kind. I once left my cellphone in a cab, and he went out of his way to call the cab and make sure that my phone was... More

A lot of the "ethnic" foods in Korea are different from what we'd expect due to lack of access to certain ingredients and tailoring the dishes to Korean tastes. Maya is an exception to this. The food is every bit as good as the best Indian restaurants in my hometown. My favorite dish is the Butter Chicken. The tandoori chicken... More

My husband lived in Korea for some time and were in the mood for something different. We saw an article about Maya and decided to check it out. It was a beautifully decorated place, and the woman who seated us and took our orders was very friendly. You could choose to sit at tables with chairs or on the floor/pillows... More
