This is an old time favorite in Albany that proved it can hold its own from Steak to oysters. The food and service is worth the stop. The chef will bend the menu to fit your wims. If you want fried oysters just ask and...More

Jack's has been an institution for over 100 years. You might say even from its physical location at State st. and Broadway, that it is a cornerstone of Albany. Opened by Jack Rosenstein, it has owned and operated by the Rosenstein family throughout the century....More

The tap water was horrible. My cocktails were good. Salad was average. Main course of Steak Diane with sides was average to below average and was oddly seasoned. Dessert was average. Coffee was watery. Staff were mostly good, but a little bit awkward with serving...More

We had a very nice dinner last night at Jacks. Our waiter, Jason, was excellent as was the chef who was very willing to create a gluten-free version of the dish I wanted! It was delicious and I would recommend this restaurant!

At a conference and stopped in for dinner. The boat chowder and fish of the day (cod) were phenomenal and the bartender was very attentive. I will definitely return.

Love the history of this restaurant. Staff were pleasant, owner's visible. Waiter accommodating, made me a cucumber martini per my request. Oysters were great, the staff still were suit jackets which I loved....would recommend highly.

On the street parking, and a parking garage in the rear. The attire runs the gambit from suits to business casual during the week. Its a nicer than average place so dress well but comfortable.

There are three or four entree salads and a pizza pomodoro on the menu. I do agree with the suggestion that you call and inquire. They are very accommodating.
