I've eaten here several times with a larger group for business travel. Like many microbreweries, the selling point is the beer and atmosphere, where the food is either an after-thought or just not high cuisine. Of their beers, I prefer the IPA. Always start with the lighter beers (Pilsner or a lighter ale) and then have the IPA last. The... More

I really enjoyed the tall ceilings and all the natural light that flows into this place. The beer selection was great, I got to try 3 different beers before selecting the one I wanted- a plus in my book. The food was what I expected, good casual burger- not perfect but bar food.

If you are looking for and authentic brewpub which prides itself on their craft, the is a good place to go. The bartenders are knowledgable and will give you samples to taste from the menu. Or you can order a flight of different brews to sample. Food is typical fare and delicious.

Many times brew pubs may have great beer and bad food...The APS has both ...good beer and good food....you are not going to get a gourmet lunch but the variety and quality should satisfy most people...and the staff is very professional and accommodating

Thick, doughy. Way to chewy. I used to love it there. Not much sauce either. Maybe just a bad night. Burger was good though.

This is the second time we have visited Albany Pump Station and we thoroughly enjoyed both experienced. The menu is very good with delicious entrees and sandwiches as well. There is also a good selection of appetizers and some wonderful craft beers brewed in-site. Having reservations we arrived at 5pm on a Friday evening and it was already quite busy.... More

Atmosphere ++, beer (brewed on site) fantastic and lots of choice. Bar staff terrific. Even though it was busy we felt that we were very important and staff had time to talk to us. Good choice of food (and the servings large). We were there at happy hour so $2 off all starters. The building itself is very interesting with... More

My visit the the Albany Pump Station was definitely a treat. The food was really good and the service was a match. I went twice for lunch during a short stay. I was seated quickly and had two different entrees--each was excellent--salmon and Alfredo with shrimp. This is a must visit in Albany.

We were very excited to try this place!!!! The history of the family and the building definitely peeked our interest! The brewery with all of the vats is quite the sight!!!! Service was great! Burgers and beers were Delish!!!!!!!!!! The only bad thing I would note, and I feel bad for saying it, is the cleanliness of the establishment. There... More

My daughter recommended this place for lunch and if it has beer, let's go try it! so, we went and had the beer sampler which helped us decide what to drink next. The salad was very good, my reuben sandwich was acceptable but the onion rings was something I really wanted to try since they were beer battered. I was... More
