Rude and aggressive owner. I wish I have read all the reviews before going there! The way this person treats the clients is unacceptable. The restaurant was empty when we came there and asked for a coffee, nevertheless the owner responded in a very angry...tone that we MUST order food to have a coffee. You can’t talk to the people like this, so I agree with a lot of other reviews here - avoid this place!More

We mistakenly went into the restaurant as the sign said OPEN - seem logical right ? No we got screamed at by this mad man who even after we apologised (why) he continues to yell at us Simply the most awfully rude person who obviously...has forgotten that tourists are his lively hood Avoid this place and enjoy the beach (all beaches are public)More

This is rustic creole food at its best in a stunning location. We ignored the reviews and popped down. As it was lunch, we had a shark curry to share which came with rice and chutney - delicious! Recommend even if the drive takes a...bit of nerveMore

We were recommended this restaurant by a guide, who said the food and setting was amazing. We then spoke to a few other people who said the owner was extremely rude. We decided to go, we were a table of four and had only a...very nice experience! The food was amazing, the service was good - it was on time, Julien was very pleasant to us. There was nothing offensive like the reviews we had read. It was great value for the setting and super amazing local dining and authentic experience. We had the calamari, fish curry, king fish and some salads. We were two couples from the US and Dubai, all of which have high expectations, but had a fabulous and local experience. Super glad we made the visit and stunning location on the beachMore

Very rude owner. Screaming the guests like crazy. Avoid this restaurant at all cost. Before going to this restaurant please read all the review. Julien the owner is very rude and will ruin your mood for the whole day . Better go to the restaurant...nearby. The staff are polite and not rude like the owner of this restaurant.More

We visited Anse Soleil for an afternoon. There are many unwelcoming signs "DO NOT PARK HERE" around the small parking lot in front of the restaurant. Add on was a morbid puppet placed on the fence saying "No Mask. No Entry". When we entered -...which we were allowed to as property owners need to let people pass by to reach the beach - the owner stared at us with his angry face. After us saying "hello" he just got pissed "What do you want?" and made us continue directly to the beach - FAST. This place and its bad atmosphere and the restaurant owner's attitude are so surreal, that a conspirator could assume that there is a hidden agenda. ...because it is so bad! So when you go there bring all the food and drinks with you, pass through the little alley as fast as you can and then you will reach a pristine beach with no people. Don't pay attention to this weirdo. There is enough shade on the beach and we had waves (not too big) in the month of March. It is a small bay and therefore a bit more cosy than the large beaches on the island.More

Very good local food and beautiful view. Right on the beach. The service was good and polite. Try the fish curry and papaya salad.

Food creole average. Prices quite high. Cleanliness below minimum standards. Service awful, bad manners, bad presence, really, really unbelievable. The only good thing is the prime location. Better skip the bistro and bring your picnic to the beach, you will have a great experience in...that beach.More
