Excellent for late supper for a couple. Dogs friendly. Good wines and amazing serving of Mediterranean fish and eggplants.

We had lunch in the Hermitage Restaurant in Tiberias. The meal was very good; our group had a choice of fish or meat, both or either of which were served promptly. Although my Wife and I often skip lunch and very rarely have a full...meal at lunch, on that day we were glad that we did and we were well pleased with our meals. The restaurant has a sort of neo-ancient, built-into-the-walls atmosphere which lends character to the location and restaurant. I recommend that you try the Hermitage if you are passing by or staying in Tiberias.More

Our group had the traditional assortment of Mediterranean spreads together with our main course – the St. Peter’s fish. The food was good but not extraordinary. What made eating in the Hermitage special is the ambiance of the place and its location along the promenade...of Tiberius. This restaurant operates in an ancient building established in the late 17th century. The black basalt stones, which surround the diners during the meal, create a special atmosphere that transfers the diners to another period. Once lunch is finished, it is a refreshing chance to take a walk along the promenade and get up close to the sea of Galilee.More

The restaurant on an esplanade by the Sea of Galilee in the city of Tiberias has an excellent location. That was the only good thing about the restaurant. The service was average and the food was also average. Most of us opted for the whole...Saint Peter's fish which was a tilapia and served baked with rice. The chicken might have been better. It was very dry with lots of bones and a little sauce or gravy would have improved the dish. We had to wait for our dessert. We also had our usual local coffee in tiny paper cups.More

As with other reviews we were part of a tour group. Some of us had the whole fish, others the fish fillet, others the chicken. The appertisers were plentiful and replenished. Everyone enjoyed themselves and then walked along the foreshore. Would recommend.

Our guide brought our group to Hermitage primarily for the St Peter's Fish lunch but with options for chicken or fish filet instead of the whole fish. The deep-fried whole fish really had little meat and many bones. Others were glad they chose the chicken...which was more substantive. Included were small shared salad dishes. All entrees were over-priced at $22 USD which did not include drinks but at the end, self-serve coffee in paper cups was available. The service was average and then the waiters ASKED for $1 TIP from each person. This lunch was a disappointment.More

We ate here with our tour group of 27. Location is lovely. The food was good, and we were served a nice variety of salads. Our group could choose between the whole fish, or a fried chicken filet. I ordered the fish (tilapia) and it...was delicious. This is a nice restaurant to try out this regional dish. Service was excellent and the atmosphere is very nice. A great experience!More

Bad service, lousy food and high prices. I suppose you only pay for the location. Please stay away from this place. There are better options in Tiberias, so there is no reason to keep them in business.
