Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

One thing - hummus. Simple and delicious! Everytime I walked by the restaurant, there was a line. When I went, the line moved fast and the food came in minutes. Absolutely delicious hummus soaked in olive oil with chickpeas on top. A must-go while in Akko!

Still, I prefer Hummus Shamsia which is only a few steps from this one, if you go on walking toward the port on the same street, adjacent to the pastries shop.
The service was fair, no more, not friendly nor hostile.
Didn't have an "authentic", "original", "local" experience and I wasn't there for that. I was there for the Hummus and I have received what I wanted, a very good Hummus!

This place is located in the old city of Akko. It’s super authentic with a very special atmosphere.
The place is packed.
The humus is probably the most delicious we have ever tried! It is superior! The prices are very affordable.
Highly recommend!
We’ll definitely be back!

Many recommended the place. What is there to say, the restaurant is a giant among dwarves. The hummus is just perfect, everything is perfect.
There is not too much to add.
I was there twice. I wanted a third time but it is closed on Saturday.
I went to another hummus but it was not as good

The most famous humus in the known universe, family run, overflowing with positive vibes, as you come to the head of the queue you are welcomed by a family member asking how may you are and would you share a table or wait for one. Menu is superb humus, mashuasha, or ful, lathered in hot green olive oil (from the Said grove and press), a side dish of good onion, pickled cucumber, olives, hot pickled pepper and tomato slices, ice cold water, and hot pita direct from the bakery across the alley, a bowl of falafel. Garnishes (ask for them) parsley, crushed garlic, chili paste. All brought to the table in minutes. The acoustics echo happy people enjoying food and company. Local coffee to rest the palate offered as the table is cleared before you leave, On your way out you pay Mr. Said at his counter, 20 nis per person. It was 12 nis 30 years ago when I first came, but they have added the falafel recently instead of raising prices. Unless you come early (12) you may have to wait inline for 20 minutes, everybody does, its part of the Said experience. Service is by the family, you are treated as one of the family, friendly, efficient, rapid. Probably the only truly multiethnic space in Israel.
Only open from midday until the fresh humus finishes in the early afternoon.

Bland, awful Hummus. They didn't give us spice to add because WE didn't ask for it! Don't bother. The portion is big, at least!

The restaurant revolves around a very simple idea - they only serve hummus, two types. But they perfected it. We really enjoyed our lunch here and would definitely com back.

While this Hummus is famous in Akko, it is not as good as it used to be and many Hummus places in Tel Aviv are better. Service is rough and Pita is not very fresh. Still decent Hummus but not worth a trip.

Hummus Said makes one thing - hummus. They're open until the hummus is gone. You can get the hummus plain, with chickpeas on top, with fuul (broad beans) on top, or 'warm' (hummus mashvasaah). You'll get fresh pita bread (made at the bakery right across the alley in back) and some pickles and olives, plus a small cup of Turkish coffee at the end (sometimes a choice of coffee or tea). Sounds simple, but the hummus here is absolutely fabulous, and highly recommended.
There is a sign over the restaurant, but you probably won't see it. What you will see, more likely, is a line of people - it moves quickly so don't despair. This is not a place to sit and linger. You order, eat, and move on. You don't have to rush, but if they need the table, it's respectful to let the hungry waiting folks get their excellent hummus.
You can purchase hummus to bring home, and I think you can purchase pita from the bakery as well.
The bathroom is not in the restaurant - you exit out the back, turn right, and find it a few steps away. It's not the cleanest bathroom (bring your own toilet paper), but it works, and the sink works.
Want dessert? There are several very good bakeries nearby.

Only got takeout humus and pita as were in a hurry. But food was fantastic as advertised by other reviewers. Old Acre is fascinating and would definitely recommend stopping by here and sit down for a great lunch.
