Fantastic place to try some of the local food. There is some more Western Food on the menu but I recommend trying the Indonesian food. The tables are set amongst gorgeous gardens and the waitstaff are friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!

I always go to Cafe Wayan when in Ubud because I adore the vibe, authentic Balinese style decor in a glorious garden and with an excellent range of delicious foods.

From the road this looks like many other cafes but walking inside reveals an expansive interior and wonderful individual eating areas. The cake and coffee were good.

Lovely atmosphere in a quiet setting with privacy if you desire. Beautiful garden setting, much bigger than you'd imagine. Great noodles- mi goreng and the mango cheesecake was yummy too! Staff were attentive. I'd go again for sure. 😀😀

It looks like a small place from the outside but the real restaurant space is in the "garden" which is 90% of the space. Great Bali dish and desert. Recommend a visit.

The setting is delightful. Plenty of green gardens so you can get away from the road. The food was excellent. We had Nasi Campur and a type of Rosti. Both delicious. The service was very efficient and attentive.

A very pleasant atmosphere with individual tables in a lush garden. The food was very good and well presented. But don't forget to bring your mosquito repellant, the coils they have under each table are not really effective enough. We'd definitely come back for another meal.

This was one of the first places we had been to while in Ubud. Staff has difficulty to understand English, but they are very courteous. Food is very good especially the noodles. Their vanilla ice cream is the best.

It doesn't have a large sign or look very modern or posh from the outside. Once you enter the restaurant which has multiple tiers of garden seating, you have discovered a tranquil and peaceful setting for a meal. And, the food is good, fresh, creative. I wish I had found this place earlier in my stay.

Description
Cafe Wayan and Bakery Established in 1986 We are happy to have had so many nice guests come to enjoy our food for over 30 years. Cafe Wayan started as a small warung (a local food stall) where Ibu Wayan sold black rice pudding and coffee to the rice farmers on what has now become Monkey Forest Road. Tourist began walking down "the path" to the Monkey Forest and stopped by for a coffee, snacks or to buy peanuts for the monkeys. Ibu Wayans always love to cook as a child and soon the menu began to expand. Return friends to Ubud began helping with recipes of western dishes as long term visitors and residents sometimes miss their own food too. Ibu Wayan began traveling abroad and learned more western cooking with Chef Joe Schultz of India Joes's restaurant in Santa Cruz, California and also learned the art of Thai cuisine in Bangkok.
