Late on Saturday evening I popped in with my friend to buy some baked goods. They were almost sold out of their croissants so ordered the last plain one and two mini almond ones. The "rare cheese" cheesecake caught my eye, so ordered a slice of that and one of their dark chocolate cake. Croissants were light, flakey and buttery... More

This is the one bakery in Ubud that I will always come back to, no matter the occasion or the timing. In fact, since I got to know this place in 2008, I've never skipped a trip to Ubud without entering Kakiang's doorstep. There is always a reason to visit this place, day in, day out. Let me count the... More

We stopped by here for a quick snack and to get out of the rain. I had a cafe Americano and my boyfriend had a mint lemon slush. We also split an eclair that was quite delicious with hand whipped whipped cream and a nice crunchy chocolate shell. We sat outside on the second floor and did some people watching... More

Their strawberry cake is the best seller but i prefer chocolate mousse, curry donuts and asorted type of donut. Their bread product is always fresh.

Loved the chocolate banana slice here, very fresh & tasty. Also enjoyed the lamington too. There is a very big selection on offer at this bakery, cakes, pastries & also savoury treats. I never tried cakes or savoury treats. I did also try the cherry danish & chocolate danish. Pastries were priced around 10-15 rupees so they made a cheap... More

Our closest afternoon coffee and cake stop. Good selection of cakes, pies, biscuits, etc. Also a break from the heat in the AC comfort.

I visited Kakiang Bakery based on a recommendation from an expat Ubud resident. I'm glad I discovered it because they have a wide assortment of treats that are tastefully prepared. My favourites include: chou-creme (cream puffs) and the yogurt cheesecakes. Some bakeries pile the sugar on but not Kakiang - they know how to create a perfect balance.

Came here because of the good reviews, but they mustve been written by people with a very different taste. I had two croissants with cheese and jam (jam and butter coming out of one of these cheap little plastic things, cheese poor quality) and one drink. They charged me for every single piece I had (cheese, butter, jam) even though... More
