We got a personal recommendation for this cooking event and it was quite a nice authentic experience. We had a private session and Wira our cook showed us a lot of dishes. It starts with grilled fish in banana leaves, crispy chicken until seafood curry... For our European taste we used less chili and I think that was necessary ;-)

My boyfriend and I went to Barakuda for a cooking class and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, Wayan was very nice and generous with explanations about the receipes he shared with us. Wayan and his wife were very welcoming. We strongly recommend this place for its food and its cooking classes.

I have cooked with Wira twice now and on both occasions I have really learnt and enjoyed my time. The restaurant is from the outside very deceptive of the standard inside. The atmosphere is fantastic. Wira and his family welcoming, friendly and very helpful. You wont be disappointed and I couldnt recommend cooking lessons more. I have been twice and... More

We have been to this restaurant each of the last 2 years for both the food and the cooking class. On both occassions Wira and his family have been welcoming and friendly. We chose to cook some local Indonesian{Balinese} dishes and I have to say they were excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend Barracuda Restaurant to anyone wishing to... More

We went for a wonderful Sunday lunch ,it was surprisingly good and deep fried prawns came out in a nice crunchy but soft batter,. Non of the food was oily as many Local Indonesian foods are . We had a good mixture of meals and all good ..in a street that is full of eating places and we have tried... More

I was taken here by my partner who has had many great experiences here. Food was beautiful, beer was nice and cold and the owners were lovely and friendly. Could not fault the evening. I will go back and highly recommend it.

An average restaurant with good variety of Balinese and Indonesian food. The fish dishes are OK although a bit bland. The boiled vegetables are over-boiled and also bland. Some other dishes are too salty and in general there is no balance in the food. The owners are very friendly and attentive.

We booked to do a cooking class here. It was fantastic. We cooked three dishes, which even our children loved. Completely authentic. Do not be scared off by the traditional Balinese kitchen, which looks incredibly dodgy compared to western standards. This is how most food is cooked in Bali. This was the best food we ate in Lovina. We brought... More

This is the real thing. I live in walking distance of all of the place on the Lovina Beach strip and this is one that I eat at the most. The grill fish has filled me up and taken inches of my waist line. I eat here about three or four times a week. I don't know where you can... More

This place is just a very simple shack. Very friendly owner. Grilled barracuda was completely charred black on underside, not what I enjoy and not a healthy meal either. Double price if you want it with rice, sauces, fruit and tea. Sauces are really a similar cabbage chili whatever mix, 4 advertised, got 3, but one more like that wouldn't... More
