Chef Venugopal was so attentive to our needs and curtious in his conduct and showed good hospitality. He took personal interest in serving dishes of our choice. He made the experience memorable for us. Looking forward to visit again. Would recommend to friends and family.
Superb ambience & good, complemented by exemplary service. We went for the Sunday brunch and as has been the case every time in the past 2 decades, the Raj Pavilion did not disappoint! Special call out to Dayanand & Jagadeesh for the service!
Food: Wide selection and good taste. Ordered the pesto and tomato marinara pastas. The pesto dish was especially well made, creamy and light. Delectable dishes that stay with you. Ambiance: One of the best places in Bangalore for a lunch date. We went there for...a birthday lunch, got really attentive service. Made for a very relaxed and cozy lunch. Budget: Bit on the expensive side but truly worth the experienceMore
We have rarely had a meal as delicious as that created recently by Chef Dipankar Baluni (formerly at Raj Pavilion, ITC Windsor, Bangalore). It was a celebration of regional Indian cuisine, at its best, with an innovative use of marinades, chutneys, spices and millets. A...heady mix of colour, flavour and style made the evening truly magical. Chef Dipankar came to our table before every course of the eight course menu he had created, to explain each dish in his characteristic friendly and understated manner. What made the menu even more remarkable was that at our request, everything was cooked without any chillies. Although nowadays most people feel that Indian food cannot taste good without chillies, I think cooks with a true understanding of flavours and ingredients do not need to use them, as Chef Dipankar very skillfully demonstrated. The meal started with a delicious and flavourful bone marrow soup with tiny tender minced meat dumplings. This was possibly my favourite dish, though each dish was superb. The next course was huge smoky grilled prawns on a bed of asparagus and spinach chutney, my young son’s favourite. Then came murgh zafrani kebab, replete with the flavour of saffron, on a bed of beetroot chutney. This was followed by char grilled pork ribs, marinated with tamarind and spices, on a bed of tangy and well flavoured millets. We were already quite full, but the main course was yet to come! We were served dal pehalwan, a hearty mix of creamy yellow dals with plenty of ghee, saag meat- mutton slow cooked with spinach, and a chicken dish cooked with ground almonds and watermelon seeds that melted in the mouth. We ate this with a variety of warm rotis. Then there was the incredibly delicious gucchi pulao served with cucumber raita; gucchi is a wild mushroom that grows in high mountain regions when the snow thaws, so it is very hard to procure. We ended the meal with filter coffee rasamalai – an innovative combination of a classic Indian milk-based dessert drenched in south Indian filter coffee- that was a perfect end to our dinner. As my son said, it was the meal of the decade (though my son is only nine years old). That says it all.More
ITC Windsor has always been my top choice when visiting Bangalore and the Raj Pavilion the best for dining. The team always provides a warm and friendly experience. Chef Venugopal is one of the most outstanding team leaders, and he goes above and beyond to...ensure that guests' needs are met. The Raj Pavilion would not be the same without him at breakfast. He remembers guests' preferences even after a year, and he makes guests feel at ease. I appreciate his customized service, his delicious Sambar Vada and Crisp Rava Dosa, and the best mangoes I've ever had. I would highly recommend Raj Pavilion to anyone visiting Bangalore and look for Chef Venu if he is available. The hotel is luxurious and comfortable, and the staff is friendly and attentive. I always look forward to staying there.More

We recently had the pleasure of dining at the Raj Pavillion, ITC Windsor. It was an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. From the moment we entered the restaurant, we were greeted warmly by the friendly staff who made us feel welcomed and comfortable....The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, each one expertly crafted and beautifully presented. The quality of the ingredients used was impressive, fresh and full of flavour. The restaurant has a sophisticated atmosphere with open terrace lighting. The service at the restaurant was impeccable, with the waitstaff, especially Chef Mr. Venugopal, checking in with us regularly to ensure we were enjoying our meal and had everything we needed. The quality of the food, the elegant atmosphere, and the exceptional service all combined made a truly memorable dining experience. Looking forward to visiting again soon.More

1. Recommended items - Salads, Dal (of course), Desserts 2. Not recommended - Pesto Pasta ( I have eaten pesto pasta at Cinque Terra, the mother place of Pesto, so I am a pesto snob in someways). Yet pesto pasta was similar to some small...time local pasta shop in Bangalore. I would have expected better pesto sauce from ITC. I may take my corporate friends again here. Will not take my family there. Hence 4, not 5.More
