This place has one of the best views and seatings overlooking the ocean. Great place for a sun downer. Prices can be slightly on the higher side, but location and service justifies that

Live music is a hit! Food is excellent and ambience around it super. The sea shore waves with music and tasty food makes a very good evening to spent . Any special event can be well planned there.

Calamari and Goa were synonymous , until my last meal there on 22 March 2021 . Being based in North Goa , there are several options , however visitors from other parts of the country continue to long for a meal at Calamari which is...why I insisted on dining there with friends . The meal was disastrous ; the food was without any taste and absolutely devoid of flavour . It seemed the kitchen was just about assembling precooked meals and reheating them . The prices surprisingly have skyrocketed strategically while quality and consistency has nosedived . A portion of fries is Rs 340 + , onion rings are at Rs 400 +, two pieces of Pav are Rs 140 + . Ridiculous for what is labelled as a shack ! If it was a W , Leela or Hyatt etc , I would not have had a second glance , but Calamari is supposedly a beach bistro ....turned fancy merely with its pricing . We requested a crab , chose a medium size and were charged - Rs 4700 + , after a bit of negotiation it was revised to Rs 4200+ - - absolutely unpardonable rates . A scoop of gelato was charged Rs 320 with ice crystals inside . Pork sorpotel, prawn rechiado were below average and two slices of (old dry) cake were at Rs 390+ each !!! Hey Calamari - a couple of weeks prior to this dinner we had ordered a snapper fillet and were served anything but one - a fillet of baby shark was served and was removed instantly when the cook was called , and replaced . I did not escalate the matter as being from a similar background I was empathetic and let go .... however the last dinner was a nightmare . The service started well but fell apart in the middle and we were struggling and waving to get attention in the end , and were the last to leave that evening . Ratan was courteous , explained he has been there for years and is probably on an incentivised billing scheme . Extra smartness anywhere is not welcome , especially when there is poor delivery and no real VFM. I am not usually complaining but this has earned my wrath ; I did also wish to speak with the Owners when I was there besides prior to leaving but I guess they were preoccupied . Well Calamari, I just ticked you off my list - you may have won the battle but have certainly lost the war .More

Had a good time at calamari the place is good I mean amazing it’s located at calangute beach.. This is touched to the beach with beautiful view you can enjoy more in the evening after 5 .. should reserve if possible.. I love the beach...area of this restaurant .. there are less number of crowd at beach so you can enjoy more at beach too Service - only the minus point is their service the waiters are too slow they need to fuel up their energy This place is amazing to relax and eat and have drinks .. Sheesha - No they don’t serve sheesha , requesting them to please add on the sheesha services tooMore

well i came here only for the sea food and i was not disappointed > all the tandoori dishes were awesome and what was from the grill was just about so i would say his pomfret was the best i have had in years and...i am not a good fan of this fish because of the smell it has if it is even slightly not fresh > we were with friends and kids had a great time > this place is very much near the sea so you can enjoy the view > we just casually walked and it was lunch time and it was full we had to wait to get a table so please get your table reserved before you go> also this place is not cheap > there was also live music and was soothing > overall good food and place worth to visit again for the fish > the washroom and the toilet a big let down really not going with the level of prices they have so this need to be taken care ofMore
