The whole package. We were there as part of a scheduled tour from the Celebrity Xpedition so not sure what other tours get, but we got a great lunch with wine, then got to watch a great local dance group do typical Ecuadorian modern and...historical indian dances, followed by a great tour where we got to see well of 30 giant tortoises of all sizes. Warning though, the tour may be PG-13 rated as the tortoises may treat you to a public mating show! All in all it was a fantastic visit and the food was good as well.More

This ranch showcases two large walls with information about finches and giant tortoises as well as displays of turtle shells. The ranch offers rubber boots for wearing as the visitor wanders this non-National Park property to see the Giant Land Tortoises. What a treat to...see them in their own habitat. The menu is varied and appetizing. We watched a wonderful show of cultural dances by area students. There is a gift shop of products made by local crafts people.More

This is a great spot for a delicious lunch and a walk among giant tortoises in their own element. The food was great. The ambiance was welcoming and very comfortable. And kicking back in a hammock surrounded by tortoises munching on the grass was a...fantastic welcome to the Galápagos Islands.More

Good place for viewing a large number of tortoise and also learning about them. Be sure to wear socks as you will put on rubber boots for the tour/walk. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour as well as the lunch.

This is a family run restaurant and farm. We spent the afternoon there after arriving on Santa Cruz. The food was great and the atmosphere was light and fun.

This was our first stop on our Santa Cruz island tour and we loved it. To be able to walk in rubber boots among these gentle giant prehistoric mammals was a once in a lifetime experience. They are not fenced in any manner and can...come and go as they please. Lovely lunch was served on a raised shaded deck where we could enjoy view of the roaming tortoises. You have to try their delicious and refreshing ginger and lemon grass ice tea. Lunch was good but what made it really a 5 star was the walk among the tortoises.More

You can have your meal alongside the tortoises at this ranch, and it's so fun. They have boots available to wear, as you walk around the ranch. You will see more tortoises here than pretty much anywhere else in the Galapagos and get some great...photos. The food was also great! I had the tuna, and the tea they serve with the meal is wonderful.More

This restaurant serves a buffet - food os good not great but good enough considering how many people they serve and where they serve it. The dancers are amazing...and the giant tortoises steal the show.

I usually take pictures of food at restaurants but I forgot to because the main attraction really is the tortoises! The food was good - hot and plentiful - but being able to be so close to the tortoises made it an excellent visit! Birds...fly in and out of the restaurant looking for tidbits of food. There are giant info displays about the tortoises and also the finches of the Galapagos. It was interesting to read those and learn more about both creatures. Wandering in the woods, seeing the tortoises as they move slowly or sit quietly was something I will always remember. You aren't allowed to touch them but you can get pretty close for photos. We're grateful we got to have a nice meal and that we also had a nice experience with gentle prehistoric giants. Fabulous!More

We stopped here to see the turtles, some of these tortoises are giant and formidable. There are around 13 different classes of turtles, the biggest (called Domo) are found in Santa Cruz. Interesting fact: Santa Cruz Island has over 5000 turtles living in the wild...and it’s located in an inactive volcano. I was told this island is over 3 million years old. We really enjoyed our visit here. A lovely place to see lots of giant tortoises roaming around. Also, there's a small area with information about giant tortoises which is interesting. There's a gift shop here too and a restaurant area, although we didn't eat here.

First we toured the grounds (with a guide) and saw all the tortoises in their somewhat natural state. They’re free to roam around wherever they want. There are so many of them. We also walked around the foliage and learned about the natural habitat of...the tortoises. Then our tour group was treated to a delicious buffet lunch in one of the outdoor patios. It was all Ecuadorian and delicious. The lunch included soft drinks and beer. The restaurant is open to the outdoors under a patio so you can watch all the birds and animals outside. Beautiful setting, esp on a nice day. Bathrooms are clean. This was a nice activity to be included in our tour. It’s definitely worth a visit.More

We had just arrived from Ecuador and were enroute to Puerto Ayora, this is situated off the main road. The tortoises are freely roaming around on the farmland and are able to come and go as they wish. In order to encourage them to stay...there are various shallow water holes for them to wallow in, many dug by the toritoises themselves. Wellington boots are provided and you are asked ot keep a 2 metre distance, no touching. It was a wonderful experience, despite the fact it was tipping down with rain. Prior to this we ate lunch in the small restaurant on site, it was very nice and portion sizes were good. Following this as we retraced our steps up the road we stopped at some lava holes on the same site, here we saw two owls resting. Not many people visit these, they just go for the tortoises, worth the short trek over the field to the holes to see if there are any owls around. All in all a very good visit.More
